There are plenty of 3rd party libraries that deal with the feed reading. Thus far I have a working admin screen that relies on AJAX services to validate a given feed URL. Combination of a GOOD rss library on the backend, and the encode_json() method from PHP means I’m golden for right now.

Milestone 1 of the plugin is complete – administration page to handle a single feed. Milestone 2 is starting – using that data to actually monitor the single feed. When Milestone 2 is completed I’ll grab a couple of people to beta test.

1) Google is not indexing your “http://www.justinbieberzone.com/forums/” because your wordpress sitemap is telling it to look at “http://www.justinbieberzone.com/forum/” which exists, works, and is not using BBpress.

Also the spam at the bottom of each page to ‘improve’ your search ranking is probably hurting it.

2) itt appears to me that you’re attempting to run BBpress with “deep integration” (i.e. inside wordpress), and to do that you’re running the wordpress header. As wordpress doesnt know about “/forums/” its throwing a page not found error in the title.

Ok I found the problem.

“bbCode lite” is NOT working while “bbpress SEO tools” is activated. Those plugins are not compatible each other.

I’ve written a WordPress plugin which allows you to integrate your WordPress theme, widgets and many plugins into your bbPress theme. This is an alpha launch, so it’s probably buggy. Please file bug reports in the comments of the blog post please.

This system DOES NOT require deep integration and does not suffer the performance hits that deep integration normally applies. This simply copies your HTML markup over after you set a bunch of things in each theme. If you don’t know how to do a 100% perfect integration of your theme already the old fashioned way (copying HTML and CSS across), this new system will not help you at all as you need to set that up already. Once it is setup however, the changes you make in your WordPress theme will be automagically applied to your bbPress site, along with changes such as plugins, widgets etc.

I’m not providing free support for this. Doing these types of integrations is very time consuming and I can’t afford to spare that much time to help you all integrate your themes sorry. I am keen to see bug reports etc though and will try to get them sorted as soon as possible.

Actually, I did google for that theme. All pages are linking to bbshowcase.org which is dead site. and http://onvertigo.com is also a protected site that I can’t login.

That looks awesome, but please make the “Add New” button more prominent in future releases. Most of my new users can’t figure out how to make a post because it’s such a small text button.

May i suggest that this NOT be a BBpress plugin but rather a WordPress plugin. It seems like a cURL post might be a better solution, and alot less hassle than an RSS feed parsing.

I’m currently running WP 2.9.1 and integrated with bbPress 1.0.2 successfully.

WP URL is installed at URL: http://www.example.com/

BBpress is installed at URL: http://www.example.com/forums/

I have a problem when I enabled HTTPS login in bbPress via

define(‘BB_FORCE_SSL_USER_FORMS’,true);

When a user SUCCESSFULLY login into bbPress via HTTPS, it redirects the page to:

http://www.example.com/forums/forums

which means 404 not-found page because bbPress is installed at URL http://www.example.com/forums NOT http://www.example.com/forums/forums

User can login SUCCESSFULLY when define(‘BB_FORCE_SSL_USER_FORMS’,true); is DISABLED

I have searched/read several posts about bbPress HTTPS login from this forum, but could not find any solution.

Any help will be appreciated.

What happened to it? I found the WordPress theme and liked it but I can’t find the matching forum theme now because bbShowcase was shut down. Does anybody still have the original zip file? I also looked through this topic but had no luck.

Sorry to sound impatient, but I’ve had my forums on hold for months betting that some of the little bugs would get worked out and it seems like things are just a big stall at the moment. I can’t really tell from the dev sites if anything’s going on. Does anyone have a real idea as to when bbpress (plugin or not) is going to make its next phase? I’m kinda tempted to go back to the drawing board with phpbb or something like that unless something is imminent…

“Bbpress Latest Discussion” is the plugin. It works fine – I’m pretty convinced this is some weird bug. There’s definitely nothing wrong with the db info.

Where can I download the theme that is using in bbpress.org?

Can someone or me create the theme that exactly like bbpress.org if there is no theme available on the net?

I have an existing WP install. My host provides a quick install using SimpleScripts. Can I integrate the two if bbPress is installed this way? Should I install manually? Do you know where a current integration guide can be found. Many on the web look old and it looks like some things have changed.

I’m ready to slug through this, but I want to at least start in the right direction. Thanks.
