/members/user error

Published on April 28th, 2015 by xprt007

Hi

Not sure where to turn …

I have a community site with a number of plugins, including bbforum & buddypress.
I noticed when a member posted a reply to forum content, that when I clicked on the notification bubble /members/user/notifications/, it led a page not found error.

I tried to check my profile as forum user, top right and cannot access any of the pages which all lead to same error.

I tried re-saving permalinks …, not knowing what to do next and still have this error. /members/ is accessible, but not any of the pages if u click a listed member page.
Also checked the bbforum/buddypress settings & could not see what is not OK.

I am not quite sure when this error could have started, as I have not used these links for many months, but probably someone may know what is causing it – and would appreciate some some help to get rid of it.

Even /groups/group-name/ is not not accessible.
Outside bbforum/buddypress, there are NO link problems.

Thank you in advance

Recently I have installed bbPress 0.9.2 and intergrated it with my WordPress blog (Version 2.6.2) the intergration has been a success and all users registered to the blog also have access to the forum without re-creating a user.

Anyway, now im interested in intergrating my bbPress forum within my blogs layout (E.g on a page called forum there would simply be my usual blog layout and then the forum appearing within the content area of my blog but I don’t have any idea how to do this. For a visual reference here is a example of what I want to achieve:

Does anyone know the process of how to this and how it can be done?

    Thanks!

bbpress shortcodes view last replies

Published on April 28th, 2015 by Estellka

Hello everyone,
first, I would like to apologize if my writting is not very good, but I’m french and I’m not used in english phrases. And that’s why I dont’ understand some explainations on the blog. so please be soft with me.

I would like to create a page wich gives a view of the last replies of my forum. I tried to create a new page with the short code

Viewing 25 topics - 23,101 through 23,125 (of 27,135 total)
Viewing 25 topics - 23,101 through 23,125 (of 27,135 total)
but it does’n work when I clik on that page I have a notice “Aucun sujet n’a été trouvé ici!” which means “no topic has been found here!”

I have others questions about short-codes meaning, but I’m going to ask it in another topics.

thanks for your answers.

Redirection loop to homepage after installing bbPress 2.5.7 (admin lockout)

Published on April 28th, 2015 by Bark

Hi,

Well, I am a bit frustrated 🙂 due to the bbPress 2.5.7 plugin. At first, nothing was going on, as long as I kept logged in after the install. However, after I wanted to login in my admin panel after the initial installation 3 hours later, a problem emerged.

I found out that the bbPress 2.5.7 installation on my WP 4.1.2 (also 4.2.1) platform results in a redirection loop to my homepage, locking myself (admin) continously out. The funny thing is that I am actually logged in. I can see that at the front end.

When I click on my backend tab in Chrome, which normally loads:

http://www.wordpress.spiritueleverlichting.nl/wp-login.php

I am redirected to the homepage, though I am actually logged in.

I have tried the following:

– deactivating all plugins, to no avail
– switching themes (20-15), to no avail
– asking support from Siteground, everything is set up correctly according to them

Via FTP I change the bbPress folder name so I am able to access the backend. Once logged in, I change the folder name back to its original name.

What is interesting is that when I log out while bbPress activited, the following URL emerges after the log out:

http://www.wordpress.spiritueleverlichting.nl/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wordpress.spiritueleverlichting.nl%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php%3Fpage%3Dbbp-about%26loggedout%3Dtrue&reauth=1

And in my error log, I found the following script:

mod_hive matched URI – normal admin URL – with match 2, referer: – admin URL with redirection

I am just wondering if somebody has something meaningful to say about the redirection loop to my homepage.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Bark

Missing HTML Formatting Buttons

Published on April 27th, 2015 by Christopher0424

I am missing all of the html formatting buttons with the exception of “close tags”. I have them turned on in the settings, but nothing is visible for my users. Any suggestions of where to start?

My website is www.allthingsbranson.com/forums

I am using the latest wordpress and bbpress. I tried uninstalling and deleting the plugin and reinstalling the latest version. Sacrificing all of our topics, I still had no luck correcting this issue.

Integrating bbPress with the Warp7 framework

Published on April 27th, 2015 by hazedesigns

Hi everyone

I am having a lot of trouble getting bbPress to work with my WordPress site that is using the Warp7 framework from yootheme.

Some views work fine, like the main forum view, adding topics and replies but there are some that don’t give any content back like when you click on an author’s name, and others that look a bit messed up like when you look at the list of all forums.

The site is live but this page is not in the menus yet, feel free to have a look if that helps:

http://www.aida.org.au/forum-test/topic/welcome-to-the-aida-members-forum/

I know that the Warp7 framework does things in a bit of a non-traditional way, but I am hoping that someone can help me get these two to play nicely together!

Thanks in advance

Are there any responsive Bbpress-templates to buy?

Published on April 27th, 2015 by Scrooge3

Hello!

I seems a little bit strange but my searches of a responsive bbpress-theme with very nice design that is available for buying were useless, I couldn`t find any. Who knows any sites or online-strores where a person like me can buy a responsive bbpress-theme to avoid very long adjustment from the scraps.

Thanks!
