Topic: time/date translation
I use the dutch translation in my forum. Unfortunately, the words “day”, “month” etc. in the functions have not been have not been modified by the translation. Where can I change the “%s” parameter used in various functions?
These forums use the Spanish Translation and some extra language tweaks i added on my own …
the plugins i use are:
Allow Images
Avatar Upload
BB-Emoticons
BB-Ratings
BB-Signature
Front Page Topics
Indicate New Posts
Page Links for bbPress
Post Count
Private Message
Quicktags 4 bbPress
Quote
Simple Online List
And a Custom BB-Badge Plug-in i made
The skin is an edit of the original bbpress theme, i made it to fit the main site (a WordPress blog). The icons are from the Tango Project.
The most noticeable changes in the layout are on the forum displays (front page and the one for each forum) and the profile.
Currently i’m trying to develop something using wordpress & bbpress.
Everything flows pretty good when talking on functionality and the rest of features, but there is a problem.
Actually 2 problems. First I already posted here: http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/867
And now the second one:
The final release has to be in another language but english. It’s true, I found no troubles translating bbpress in my language and the rest of updated wordpress. But after what I’ve integrated both of api’s: the wordpress and bbpress; this resulted in the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class streamreader in /var/www/pm/forum/bb-includes/streams.php on line 26
I suppose it’s because of the translations, cause when I did not defined BBLANG, everything worked well.
After a bit I thought, that a solution for my problem can be joining both of the bbpress and wordpress translation .mo’s and defining just WPLANG for my language settings. That worked, but I dont see this as a pretty simple and accessible solution for everybody!
I would be glad getting some help on that, If there is any other more easier solution, that would be cool.
Topic: bbPress Romanian Support
You can get the file at: http://e-stas.net/files/fc.php/1
The version I’ve tranlated: 0.81
I will also support this translation once bbPress will be upgraded.
Thank you guys for a wonderfull bbs.
I just spent a while translating a .po file that I got from here to Swedish and creating a .mo file from it. You can see the results on forum.rimnytt.se.
Should I make it public, or is there already a Swedish translation or a fresher .po file?
Topic: Japanese translation

Topic: bbPress 0.8 in Indonesian
Hi all,
I just wanted to share my Indonesian translation of bbPress. You can download the file over here.
http://www.kyantonius.com/downloads/bbPress-ID.zip
In that zip file you will find two files, namely id_ID.po and id_ID.mo. Please use the appropriate one.
I hope this will be useful for Indonesian users of bbPress.
Regards,
Kemas
Hi!
First off all, thank you very much for this great piece of code!
We’re using bbpress as forum for our citizen journalism project “Bürgerzeitung Köln” at http://bz.koeln.de. Because our users prefer german language, we decide to do a translation. And of course we will make it public and available for everyone.
So, as ‘only’ 133 translations are waiting to be done, there should be a public Alpha availabe by the end of this week. It will be a “Sie”-Version, but it shouldn’t be a problems doing a “Du”-Version as well, later.
Greetz, Sven
Topic: Language
I search and read probably everything about localization, but didn’t have any luck updating correctly bbpress.
Where do i put/copy the .pot file. Is the .mo file necessary? Where do I copy that? I need a step by step tutorial on how to make the translation work.
Thanks so much.
