Topic: Problems with Activation
Greetings to All,
I am having trouble with bbPress or Buddypress. I have posted a few test forums but the Sign Up process is not working.
Everything works fine with my “social login plugin” but I never recieve any email to activate when signing up straight through my website or bbPress/BuddyPress. I tried this a few times without any plugins and it still did not function.
The users are showing up on the back end, but not able to login after submitting information to create profile.
Please help, I would like for this to work before I start my email campaign. Thanks
KLAXON wailing in the distance…
What does “replacing comments with bbPress topics” refer to exactly?
It was mentioned in the bbPress 2.4 and 2.5 announcements.
Thanks!

I am having some trouble figuring out how to change the font type on my forum. Everything looks good except the forum index, which is using a font that looks like it’s done with a typewriter. I want to use a bolder, darker font link the rest of the site has. I’ve copied the bbpress to the themes folder and made a CSS folder and copied everything to there. I was looking through the code and I couldn’t make heads or tails out of it. Can someone go to http://www.lowvisionrants.com/forums and tell me how to change the font of that main page so it looks normal?
I tired the new update and it resulted in blank pages across my entire site. I was able to get back to my wp-admin only to see:
Note I see this with my regular blog posts as well. When I disable bbpress my blog works again and post name appear correct.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give. My forum is down until I figure this one out or find the last version and restore.
Hi,
I have been having problems with forum building and would like to know if bbpress is capable of adding new members to the forum automatically incorporating wp-member plugin.
Basically a paid site which has a private forum, once someone pays their membership they automatically gain access to the forum.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Richard
After the upgrade to 2.5 there are CSS errors because the include is broken! The cause is that the programmers didn’t thought about people hosting WordPresss (and bbpress) on Windows platforms. (Windows uses a different slash and different directory root/paths).
I’m hoping for a 2.5.1 fix 😉

Note that the slashes are missing from the ‘plugin_dir’ part.
I think the problem is within the “private function setup_globals” of the bbpress.php file or the “public function __construct” of the bbpress-functions.php file.
