    On mobile, portrait view, username/role/etc. aren’t left-aligned and have a margin-top of 0.

This could be my theme, but it wasn’t this way prior to the most recent update.

    Thanks.

P.S. Avatars don’t show on mobile. How can they be enabled?

@akgt “all posts and topics have the same titles” this is fixed in bbPress 2.4

    @kcurlsjr
This is a known issue on forum visibility, details are in ticket #2408 and a possible workaround is in this thread

    #136781

Fixed already for 2.4.1; I’ll release next week.

I’m trying to import a bbpress 1.0.2 forum to the latest version of WordPress-bbpress (2.4). It has 37,000 topics, which all seem to import OK and look good. But when the importer is importing replies, it seems to stall out around 70,000. It gets slower and slower until it’s a crawl.

I’m wondering if this is due to the wp_bbp_converter_translator table that apparently is created to help translate the standalone bbPress posts into WordPress? This table is now 500,000 lines already. Or is there some other explanation? Is it because I am using bbPress 1.0.2?

It looks to me like bbp_title() is overwriting the title when it’s not a bbPress page. Since bbp_title is a filter on wp_title, it should bail and return the original title when it’s not a bbPress page.

That’s my best guess from a quick look over the code. I’m not familiar enough with the bbPress code base to know for sure though.

This was just a rough draw, but like Tecca said, you should put it in style.css or the proper bbpress replacement stylesheet.

Have you tried disabling all other plugins and running a standard wordpress theme?

I doubt this is a problem with bbPress.

Had this problem a while back too, with me it was caused by a plugin auto activated by Page.ly.

Have you tried doing a clean install on a wamp or something like that?

You can edit “content-archive-forum.php” that is as far as I know the frontpage(index) of the forums, you can also remove the search form there.

Another option for removing the search is by turning sitewide search off in your bbpress settings.

The forums title is a bit trickier, since it uses your page.php from your normal theme and inserts that content title. You’d have to change it there.

You have 2 options for this.

    1. Recode the bbpress plugin and change out the custom post type names/slugs etc.
    2. Try to filter the forums with a custom query on the loops.

There is no plugin that does this for bbPress as far as I’m aware off. You could try looking at the code from BP Labs and extending it too bbPress.

    Hello,

What I’m trying to achieve is something like this setup where the forums are broken up:

    http://floridastate.rivals.com/forum.asp

I’m looking for groups of forums (Categories) that have a heading such as “Romantic”, “Platonic”, “General Discussion”, where “Romantic”, “Platonic”, “General Discussion” is not a forum (Category), but just a heading.

    Something like this:

    http://floridastate.rivals.com/forum.asp

    Thank you in advance!

    I’m running WP 3.6 with bbPress 2.4.
I’m using iTheme-2 in a slightly modified version utilizing a child theme.
What would it take to have the forum part behave the same way as it does here?
    And leave everything else untouched?
In case needed: take a look here: http://moonen.dyndns.info/wlm4services/en/forums/.

    Thanks!

After updating the version 2.4 my site title is missing, it’s just empty <title></title>. When I deactivate bbPress everything is working again. Any idea why this is happening.

You can see it in this demo page for example.

After updating to 2.4 I han no longer change forum visibility to “hidden.”

When editing a single forum via the WP dashboard, there is the ability to select hidden from the drop down menu, but after hitting the update button it reverts back to the previous state (either public or private).

When bulk editing a group of forums via the WP dashboard, there is not an option of “hidden” to select.

Has this visibility option been removed?

    Hello,

I am new to the WordPress world and setting up my first experimental site inside my company. I want to move a blog/forum from an old home grown system to a new bbPress forum. I do not need to carry over replies; just the topics, write ups, author, and tags. I have all of the information in a spreadsheet. Assuming all of the old authors have accounts in the new WordPress, is there a way to import the topics and their metadata? I see importers for some specific BBs but nothing for just a generic data file.

    Thanks much for any suggestions,
    Mike Harper

The language is set to catalan, the aprox. translation of this would be:

    Hello,

First I’d like to thank you for your plugin it will help very much for the new site I’m building.

I would like to know what page is the main forum landing page. I’d like to make a few edits, such as removing the default title “Forum” at the top and replace with my site conformed titles for each page. I would also like to comment out the forum search box.

I am currently wordpress vers 3.6 and I installed bbpress 2.4 today.
    Here is the link. http://108.167.136.97/~kitchens/forums/

    Thank you,
