Same issue here. BBPress forum working great for five weeks. Just recently at the forum homepage, Topics and Replies seem to appear in correct order but the Freshness score is all wrong. Any suggestions on how to reset this? Thanks.

    WordPress Version: 3.3.1

    bbPress Version: 2.0.2

All has been working well. Half way through styling the forum and suddenly when a user is not logged in the get redirected to the login page.

I have replaced the bbPress plugin files with the originals just in case I have done some thing, but still not working!

I am using the Theme My Login and Theme My Profile plugins as well but it has been working whilst using these!

    Any ideas people.

    Thanks

    Hello!

There is a wordpress plugin I am trying to use, and it wants me to upload a file to my theme files.

If I upload the files to the BBPress theme folder, on the next update, wont it erase the file?

So, couldn’t I copy the BBPress theme folder and put it in my twenty-ten theme directory as a child theme, and wouldn’t that work? or not? Or, I I just being an idiot and forgetting something?

What is a good place to look for bbPress-themes?

The wordpress.org only lists two themes when I do a search…

I have a site which is only a forum and I am looking for a crystal clear and light-wight theme to use on it.

This WordPress plugin supports BuddyPress and provides login through multiple OpenID providers.

bbPress shares a login page with WordPress. Refer your users to “yoursite.com/wp-login.php” or whatever custom login page you have set up.

Did you figure anything out for this Driftless1? I’m having the same problem in bP 2.0 (plugin) and WP 3.3.1. Every time someone posts in bbPRess, they get changed to a Forum Participant, including admins, which then removes those admins from the Authors list on blog Posts. Very annoying.

    Thanks for anything.

In the edit profile or profile section of the BBPress user. the user name is a bit redundant. What files do I need to edit to remove it after the word ‘About’ and and possibly in the edit profile link?

    I provided a screen shot.

    Hello forum,

I have installed bbpress but really I have not understood how can work without the registration of members. I’m not able to find the area where members can login inside forum.

I hope in a good reply.

    Have a nice day friends.

I’m using the bbpress plugin, and I would like to add a way to add the gd star rating plugin to bbpress posts. I’ve tried looking for a way to add it to custom post formats, but Google hasn’t returned any relevant results. Does anybody have any advise on how to do this?

I would like to list comments by most recent on the Home page of my Forum.

At the moment only Topic with the latest comment entry comes up fist, but I would like to have list of comments, like here for example:

    http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:UKX.L&display=discussion&it=li

i guess what I need is similar to bbpress forum where you can click to view latest topics or latest posts, but I’d like to have latest comments listed by default.

    Many thanks in advance!

    Hey everyone!

Just freshly installed BBPpress, and I’m now looking for a way to style it to match my sites look and feel.

How would I go about moving templates into my child theme?

    Thanks a lot guys!

Does anybody know if there is a plugin available to embed or attach a HTML5 soundcloud player in a bbPress forum, not Buddypress forum?

    Hello,

In bbPress user profile section, there is a section called 1) Subscribed Forum Topics, 2) Favorite Forum Topics, 3) Forum Topics Created. In Buddypress user profile section, there is a section called forums (if you enable discusstion forum as a Buddypress component), and there are links to 1) Topics Started and 2) Replied to within it.

I would like to keep the buddypress user profile, disable discussion forums of buddypress, and use the bbpress site-wide forum as my main forum component. Is there a way to add a forum link to the bbpress site-wide forum on an buddypress user profile, and have 1) Subscribed Forum Topics, 2) Favorite Forum Topics, 3)Forum Topics Created and 4) Replied to as a link below it?

Forums link will automatically show up if I enable the discussion forum within Buddypress, but I don’t want to use the Buddypress forum because I am not thinking of creating a group.

    Can you advise?

Actually I figured it out. It has been install on the page but how does one edit the css. I want to change colors of the background and text.

    Thanks!

I use a captcha plugin to fight spammers and assigning forum moderators is a good idea if your forum becomes too big to manage by yourself

    Thanks for the lead, metaltoast.

I tried AddThis, but it doesn’t work nicely on the bbPress forum index page. It adds its buttons below every forum name — it produces exactly the same unwanted results as Lockerz Share.

AddThis does add to every page’s editing options a “don’t-use-addthis-on-this-page” option, but even when switched on, this option is not effective on the bbPress forum index page.

bbPress is somehow making these plugins think that each forum name on the forum index page is either a post or a page unto itself. That’s what it looks like to me, but if I were an expert on this stuff I wouldn’t be here asking for help.

Hello, I must be dumb because I cannot figure this out. I am trying to make just one of my webpages within my site a forum page.

I installed the plugin on my WP interface (I do not use FTP). Everything installed properly because I can see “forum” now in my settings.

My question is how do I now add this plugin to the page that I wish? How do I make that page a forum with this plugin?

Sorry for the ignorance I am new to WP.
