Hi

In the French version of bbpress (the latest version), I want to change the header “Participants” (it’s “Voices” in the English version) to “Voix”. Could someone tell me how to do that please ?

Now, I’ve spend a lot of time researching and trying different things from CSS to PHP and I’ve gone back removed all the changes because nothing has worked so far. And I wanted to get things ready for any suggestions you guys might be able to supply. I am using DIVI 3 theme and builder.

For info, I have removed the side bar from the forum, and that is the only customization of bbpress I’ve left in place. I used custom CSS i found on this forum.

I’d appreciate knowing what to change and were to change it. I’m a beginner so I’d need fairly basic instructions, but I know where to put CSS into the Divi theme, and I know how to go into the PHP and how to create a child theme.

Just tested it on my test site and it is working fine for me.

Please make sure you are using latest version of bbPress plugin.

This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except bbPress plugin and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.

Could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not working correctly so that i can troubleshoot it?

Is this going to conflict with some of the bbPress swnippets I have already implemented. I.e. Login/logout redirection, etc. Or will it conflict with UAM for access to forums.

I thought perhaps we were dealing with a configuration or rights assignment issue when trying to implement BBPress with LearnDash, but I get the same result using the single forum shortcode on a basic page on our site with no content protection.

Hi,
This is WP 4.8.1 with bbP 2.6rc3 (was hoping this corrected it, was running 2.5.13 all the time). THE CORE from ThemeFurse is running an Lifter LMS is doing the Site-Protection.
That’s the entrance https://youngstars.leben-fuehren.de/wp-login.php and “demouser” is username and password.
I can see the forums (/foren/) and the topics (e.g. “Mastermind”) /foren/forum/masterminds/. The Topics headline have a Link to the topic itself, e.G.: /foren/topic/test-topic/
BUT when I click on the headline, the topic doesn’t open. It goes back to the topics list /foren/forum/masterminds/.
I can create answers in the backend. But the frontend doesn’t show any.

• I did deactivate all Plugins -> no change
• I went back to twenteseventeen -> no change
• I fiddled around with the permalinks ->no change
• I repaired bbPress and BuddyPress several times -> no change

Funnily enough: [bbp-single-topic id=2279] works. I don’t get it and start to panic here, I guess. Any idea welcome!

I am using the latest version of WordPress and BBPress and Divi theme with the Membership works plugin.
When you click on a topic the “feed” goes out of the theme and there is no way to reply. I have turned off most plugins to see if that was the conflict.

I have also tried bbpress on a different divi themed site and it worked right away.

Thanx, tried option 2, seems to work.
only one thing, those breadcrumbs it creates don’t seem to work.
I have created a page where I put the index shortcode and it shows three (test) forums, I can go into them but can’t go back to index.
I set those forums as “forum” or should they be categorie?

Trying to diagnose a site why the pagination for the shortcode [bbp-topic-index] works only to page 2. Once you get to page 3+ (of 1200+ pages) it 404s. It only goes to page 2 regardless of what the per page setting is for topics. This is running PHP7.0.x, WP 4.8.1 and I’ve confirmed the issue on 2.5.12 and 2.6 RC3. Going back to 2.5.11 gives me the ksort expects param 1 to be an array error as do all other 2.5.x series. I have tested with all plugins deactivated except bbPress and tried all the usual default themes. Any thoughts?

ok, you’ll need to do some elimination

Deactivate all but bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

I’ve deleted bbpress and reinstalled and every problem persisted. It seemed none of the bbpress data was removed. Although in the add plugins page it tells me bbpress has not been tested with my version of WordPress.

We are running everything with their latest versions. The development site is also running all latest versions of WP and plugins and everything works fine. Which is the weird thing and has me wondering if it’s related to the different hosting account.

I see that, at least it’s not an isolated issue. I did a similar work around with naming a page forum and using the index short code. We created so many test forums and such when we first had issues that it’s very cluttered. We’re working on limping along using only topics.

Are you on the newest version of wordpress? My theory is it’s either our premium theme or the new WP.

Hello,
I have a development site running BBpress perfectly fine. All forums and topics work great: http://www.switchitupdesigns.com/hatch/forums. As you can see, clicking on a forum opens up the page fine.

I then used All-In-On Migration plugin to copy the site from one domain to the next. Installation worked flawlessly and the site is up and running great on GoDaddy. However, now BBpress is not working correctly. When I click on the “Forums” tab in the admin dashboard I get a blank white page. Also, when clicking on a forum from the forum index on the frontend, I get a blank page:

We only have 4 plugins installed and WP, theme and plugins are all on the latest versions. Because the dev site is working perfectly fine, what could be causing this problem? Could it be a memory issue with the new hosting account on Godaddy?

– I tried test deactive one by one plugin still same
– I tried change to defaul wordpress theme still same

Look in the Intros section and click the Test post.

You will see in the reply area, the Submit button is cut off on the right side. In fact almost everything is slightly cut off on the right margin.

In addition, the Subscribe link is left justified where it shouldn’t be.

The website is using the most current WordPress, most current WooThemes Canvas theme, and the most current bbPress. I have updated all plugins to current versions.

I have also disabled all plugins and see the same result. When I switch to the twenty-seventeen wordpress plugin, the submit button is not cut off and things look a bit better, but the Subscribe link is still too far left justified. So this is a conflict between the Canvas theme and bbPress.

I opened a support ticket with WooThemes and they have suggested trying to use the plug-in http://www.rewweb.co.uk/bbp-style-pack/ to resolve any style issues but the plugin looks very complicated to use.

Any suggestions?

Are there any “current” documentation that someone has written, on how to make Canvas play nice with bbPress? I found some old sites with comments about this but nothing recent (which might relate to more current versions).

Hello guys, i’ve created a website on free hosting. Installed latest version of WP (4.8.1), installed some plugins, theme, everything works perfectly. But, when i installed bbPress 2.5.13, i saw that i wasn’t tested on this version of WB, but i tried. As result: when i go to mydoman.com/forums/ it shows me ERROR 500. Also, when i go in dashboard >> Forums >> List of Forums (maybe it’s named so, cuz i’m using russian version of WP) it also shows me ERROR 500.
I Decided to downgrade (reinstall) the entire WP without any plugin and theme. I choosed version 4.7.5 as it says that is tested on bbPress 2.5.13. So, i installed WP, installed bbPress, and tried to go to dashboard >> Forums >> List of Forums and it returns me this:

Just to confirm this issue exists for me on latest updates,
Wordpress 4.8.1
BBpress 2.5.13

On a long topic (75 pages) exactly the same issue. Only the the most recent replies URLs go to the start of the topic. Older replies URLs work and go to the relevant reply. Sometimes the topic shows 76 pages, other times 75…!

I thought I was clever and deleted the most recent replies up to the one which was working, all replies links to the correct reply. Then I added one new reply of my own, and voila, broken again and links to my most recent were missing the pagination part of the URL /76/ and clicking the link (despite having /#post-1234545/ in the URL) takes me back to the first page of the topic.

i jsut got into WordPress and wanted to use bbPress.
So I installed bbPress and it lets me change my Preferences under Preferences–> Forum.
I also can create new Forums and they show up in my bbPress Widgeds.

However everytime i open the Forum Page an Error occurs. (I copyed the entire Errormessage below).
I use WordPress on my xampp Server (localy) for testing.

Also i deactivated all other plugins and changed my theme to wordpress-standard. No Luck though. Im using shapely Theme

Thanks for this although I am well aware of how to enqueue jQuery scripts. The issues is that I don’t know what script it is that’s being inserted that early on – I will have to test it out some more.
