Normally I can figure things out but I’m stumped on this one.
Site is here: http://www.skinnyskiff.com/forums/
Whenever a user signs up, and attempts to update their profile. They are redirected to the top of the page where a notice says ‘user must enter their password’ and even if they DO enter their password, it says ‘incorrect password’
I am using the latest version of both WP and bbp and I am only using ONE plugin with bbp. I have disabled it and I am still having this same problem.
I have not tried disabling the addon plugin, and then disabling and reenabling bbp but I dont think that will make a difference?
Thanks
Hi there,
I currently run two bbpress forums in the old stand-alone version (1.0.3 and 1.0.2) and I would like to upgrade to the latest plugin version. I have been searching the forums for instructions on how to do this without much success. Can somebody please advise on how to do this upgrade/conversion. Thanks in advance!
I just started creating a site. installed bbpress. added some categories and forums…not done yet. There is one category with around 64 subforums. when looking at the page i can only see 50 with nowhere to move to the next page or to view more.
Everything should be the latest versions. Only downloaded and installed 3 days ago. Still using default twenty eleven theme.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hello,
I would like to restrict the topic content to certain user roles, so that subscribers and non-logged-in user can see the topics inside the forum, but when they click on the topic, they get a message “for premium members only”. This doesn’t work with private or hidden forums, because I want them to see the topics they are missing… 😉
I installed the latest bbpress plugin 2.1.2, WordPress 3.4.1, and Members 0.2
Editing the Subscribers role, I tried to add a Capability filter “bbp_get_topic_content” and disabled it, but that didn’t work (it disappeared, so doesn’t seem to be the correct capability).
Any idea, how I can achieve that?
Thanks
Hello guys,
I’m new to wordpress and bbpress and started to learning it today. I recently installed wp which succeeded and added bbpress through the plugin tab on the admin page. I installed WP on my root page so how do i access my forums via typing in the linkbar in any browser?
I’ve browsed for a solution before i decided to make a topic and I’m very lost. Also the bbpress forums http://bbpress.org/forums/, how would I organize mine with the forum category on the left side and latest topics in the middle?
Thanks very much in advance.
Topic: My test site
- I have deactivated all plugins with no change
- I have changes to 2010 them with no change
Here is the scenario:
- I receive an email telling me there has been a new reply
(For example:New topic/reply awaiting moderation on your site Stratoliner.me – Deluxe, Roadliner, Stratoliner Forums: http://www.stratoliner.me
2430
- I click the link to the reply and it shows up as a single reply as it should but this weird ending in the link:http://www.stratoliner.me/forum/reply/reply-to-dark-side-people-comin-back-to-the-light-side-7/#.UCbm6qn_TOE
- I go to the site and click the link in the sidebar under “Latest Replies” and it come to this page:http://www.stratoliner.me/forum/topic/dark-side-people-comin-back-to-the-light-side/#post-2430 (Notice that now it is referencing #post-2430 the one mentioned in the email notification that I received.
- HOWEVER – post 2430 is not there in the list of replies.
- This is happening with several replies – but when I post a reply it shows up.
I could really use some help as I am stumped. Thanks,Shep
