@zaerl: plugins section does not update since bbPress “new look”, actually… 
I have added two new plugins but the plugin section doesn’t refresh.

so I suppose that it’s a problem that affects all new uploads.
I suppose you’ll need to define “a bit less basic”. Everyone’s opinion of the way things look is different.
And bbPress will not change theme automatically I’m afraid. You’ll have to theme it yourself or use an exisiting one
ok i have looked at some sites in the presentation section and i can see that BB press can be changed to look like it fits into place.
Does anyone know how a theme will change the look of bbpress? will bb press automatically change to look like the new theme?
Is the way this forum works the way BBpress actually looks? Can it be modified to look a bit less basic?
I have found simple press and quite like how this looks. However, it doesn’t have an integration facility for php forums like this one.

I have created a plugin that expose permalinks to posts. But I’m not very sure that it’s what you want. I have uploaded it five minutes ago. Grab it (if it’s what you need) when the SVN refresh:

It exports a function:
za_post_permalink($id = 0)
which returns a link in the form:
http://domain.com/post/number if mod_rewrite is used
http://domain.com/?post=number otherwise
if you pass 0 or nothing to the function it takes the current post ID (if any).

Zaerl’s link is a good one, but I want to adda word of caution.
bbPress is not a WordPress plugin, and its definately not “WPBB”. if you’re not a programmer then you will find integrating the two of them a bit of a pain.
I’m sorry, but We can’t help with any issue regarding BuddyPress. You’ll have to ask on the BuddyPress forums (which are awesome).
The “bbPress” that BuddyPress uses is not anywher enear the same as this bbPress. I don’t know why the continue to not tell people that, as we get alot of support questions here about it, we simply can’t help with.

I have a problem; I use buddypress 1.2.3 and I installed bbpress directly from buddypress and I traslate buddypress in italian whit file .po and .mo but phrases of bbpress remain in english.
Any idea?

Guide to WordPress integration is now up. Ah, that was a good day and a half of playing around in phpMyAdmin, bbPress, and WordPress! 
I am finishing up a plugin that will do this, probably within the next week or so. It’s very usable now, but still need some functionality added in. I was hoping to get it hosted in the plugin directory, but the form to add it seems broken. I can post a link to download here if you’d like.

I just wrote a guide to basically achieve what the title says. Two reasons:
(1) There isn’t a vb4-to-bbPress converter out there making the process more difficult then it should be
(2) The answers are out there if you’re willing to search for hours like I did I decided to piece together all my research into a single guide
Credit, of course, goes to the generous souls who created the vB-to-phpBB and the phpBB-to-bbPress converters, which are both required.
I’m still working on the integration with WordPress part which should be up soon. If you guys see any errors, please let me know.

The member title is certainly the smallest on my system and it probably the only think I would consider unreadable. It’s slightly more readable than your screenshot, but I am using Chrome on Linux, so maybe the font is already there.
The next size up in font size is all the stuff beneath the avatar (Posted 18 hours ago/IP/Edit/Delete/Spam) then the next size up, what I would consider normal, is the post text.

I followed the instructions on how to upload the Avatar Upload plug-in. When I go to my forums, make a new account and then try editing my avatar, it takes me to the home page of the forums. How can I fix this?

but it doesn’t work, and it takes me on a blank page with line 8 error.

I’m afraid bbPress doesn’t come with any of the functionality that you are asking about.
How do you restrict moderators from being able to moderate certain forum sections?
Also, if I run multiple bbpress forums that share the same bb_user table, does this mean a moderator can moderate all the bbpress forums? If yes, is it possible to restrict their access to only one forum?

I’m upgraded bbpress but when anyonimus posting is enabled i’m get error becouse of “human-test.php” plugin:
