if that doesn’t work then, you need to change the roles of affected accounts from an admin account.

in case you don’t have an admin account, you can get it by – http://blog.ashfame.com/2009/09/fix-lost-admin-access-bbpress/

Is there such thing too for <?php post_author_title_link(); ?> to link the title of the author to his profile rather than the website?

I don’t see a Plugins tab in my bbPress admin dashboard. Is there an easy way to resolve this?

I’m using wordpress 3.0.1 and bbpress 1.0.2. I was trying to bbpress integrate with wordpress. No matter whether I try to integrate at the time of installation or do it from the admin dashboard, I lose my access to the bbpress’s dashboard.

I did searched in the support forums but wouldn’t find any solution that works.

I guess I’m logged into bbpress as an admin, but I can’t seem to get to the dashboard. Everytime I log in I go to the home page of the forum site, not the dashboard. Everytime I try to go to bb-admin, I get redirected to the bbpress root page…

I did the datebase integration between wordpress and bbpress. It seems to have worked, but now I can’t log into my bbpress admin as before. Now I can only use my wordpress login…which shows me as a user, but not as an administrator. I know that in the dashboard there was on option to make the wordpress admin the bbpress admin, but I didn’t select that, and now I can’t get back there. thoughts?

    Hi,

I use the plugin Accurate Post Time ( http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/accurate-post-time/) to show the exact time of a post.

The problem is I get the time which is an hour too early.

    How can i fix this?

    #94334

ah! thank you! I was able to figure out where that little stinker was hiding.. I had changed it in the bbpress css file, but for some reason it was reading off the wordpress one for that little piece.

Messed up my blog a bit, would be nice if those two were separate… but at least the forum isn’t hanging off the end anymore.

    thanks!!!!!!!!

Not sure if it works with 1.x, but I’ve been using it on my 0.9 forum:

    https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/unread-posts/

Look through the comments to see if there are any issues/changes for 1.x.

I installed the reCAPTCHA plugin (noted above) and it seems to have nipped the problem spam in the bud. Previously, CK’s “Human test for bbPress” plugin had been doing the trick on my board. However, with this more aggressive & annoying automated bot spam, it was guessing the equation and then getting in the door.

I’m not overly happy about having to install captcha software, because it’s difficult to make out the characters sometimes and I feel it’s an impediment to quick and easy registration for people. Nevertheless, something that stops the hoser spammers is appreciated and reCAPTCHA appears to have succeeded (for the time being).

Having an error when attempting to use the bb-avatar upload plugin. Its when anyone tries to access the avatar page we get presented with this error:

“Warning: include() [function.include]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/X/pastelportal.com/bbpress/bb-includes/functions.bb-template.php on line 45

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ” for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/X/pastelportal.com/bbpress/bb-includes/functions.bb-template.php on line 45″

We were using a custom theme and it was working fine. We just switched about an hour ago to the default theme and now its doing this. I have done some searches and found a few solutions, issue is those solutions were related to other problems and I’m not sure if they would work with this.

I will say we were presented with a similar error when we upgraded to the latest bechet version of bbpress (1.0.2) but it was fixed after the admin did some tinkering around. But this time we are both clueless to what is going on.

We did change back to the custom theme for a moment, its working fine. But just the default theme, its not working.
