Hi Dykarna
I had the same problem and I just found the solution.
Your language files are in the right place at http://vaxmora.se/wp-content/languages/bbpress/
But you need to rename the files from this:
bbpress-plugin-sv.po
bbpress-plugin-sv.mo
to this:
bbpress-sv_SE.po
bbpress–sv_SE.mo
Then you should be good to go. Worked for me.
And by the way, thanks for leading me in the right direction.
I have bbPress 2.1 and that shows just “Forums | My site name” for title.
What version do you use?
settings seem fine. I tried opening the bbpress theme files and manually editing the page title but it didn’t change anything.
I tried editing /plugins/bbpress/bbp-themes/bbp-twentyten/page-front-forums.php and archive-forum.php
By replacing this
<div id=”forum-front” class=”bbp-forum-front”>
<h1 class=”entry-title”><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
<div class=”entry-content”>
with this
<div id=”forum-front” class=”bbp-forum-front”>
<h1 class=”entry-title”>FORUMS</h1>
<div class=”entry-content”>
But nothing. Any suggestions on a manual edit?
What I can see I have WordPress in form of “3.3.2–sv_SE ” The back-end is in Swedish and as for what I can see the site is in swedish but bbPress is not.
The language files for WordPress are here:
/vaxmora.se/wp-content/languages
For bbPress are here:
/vaxmora.se/wp-content/languages/bbpress
I did as said before “do like this and it should work” and right now I don’t know anything… so how should I do? How should it be?
Please add here how it should be.
1,
2,
and so on…
Thanks
Do you also have the WordPress translation files where they belong? If WordPress core cannot find its translations, it will revert back to English. If that’s the problem, it’s possible you’ve had bbPress’s in the correct locations already, and WordPress was nooping it.
Any news if the plugin is going to be able to export / import from mybb forums? Need to get away from mybb and love the look of this WP plugin. Thanks in advance.
Is this a plugin I can test now, or “in the works”?
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you here.
I’ve got a lot of help before, but in terms of developing. it’s a joke when to ask questions. Certain things they should look at, I think especially the problem of language (as I then have problems)
I hope they take some responsibility and at least give it a try!
Tested on WP lastest + bbPress 2.1
I can verify that the plugin mentioned above works.
Thanks. I just found this link and it seems to have excellent instructions including a login redirect plugin like you have suggested. http://wphow.org/how-to-install-bbpress-with-any-theme/
These forums are a joke. Nobody replies.
Any developer / code genius that would like to look at this?
Thanks for the link!
Unfortunately it did not help much.
I installed bbPress directly from the WordPress (as a plugin).
Does anyone know if it has developed a plugin (the last 11 months) that allows people to register?
Ok, I had to install the very last WP.
Now it works, but not with the embed code. I need to use the
http:// http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=(videoIDhere)
That is the best also I recon
Check your bbpress settings and wordpress media settings and make sure you have them both set to auto-embed videos.
Have you done anything else than installing bbPress 2.1?
Any configuration?
I have tried to paste YouTube original URL and the short embed URL, but none of those are working. I’ll do some more testing with turning off different plugins to see if that affects it.
Thanks for clearing it up
It works for me by posting the short ‘share’ URL of the video (click share below the video on Youtube). However mine end up wider than the forum so I add ?&w=550 to the end of the URL to make it fit.
I have installed BBpress on my wordpress site and all of a sudden when i go onto my forums page the categories are not showing its just a white page with template
i have tried re installing and still no luck
Please help
After having read this thread and I sit with the same problem. Then it would probably be appropriate to maybe get to a function so you can thru the admin panel choose which language you wish. Yes, and that all language files included with the package when installing bbPress.
Or one might even in the admin panel to add a “upload” of language files so they end up where they should and is automatically activated .. yes I’ve seen it in Joomla but there is something quite different but the principle

I really like the theme on this side, how can I get my site to look like in a similar way without having to write lots of code? Perhaps this is a theme that you made yourself or is it a theme that’s out to just bbPress.
In any case, I think it looks good and I would like something similar
I do not know what the next step is so if anyone knows what it may be that I would be grateful if someone could take a look at the problem
