Hi all
I have a WP site with bbPress installed and bbPress Like Button (a like button plugin).
I was trying to import a phpBB forum to bbPress.
I’m having problems doing this and in the process must have decactivted bbPress.
Now when I try to log in at wp-admin or view the site I get a page saying.
‘bbPress Like Button needs bbPress installed and activated in order to work.’
This is on QA server and so I can’t get access to the files.
Is there any way to fix this – Is there any way to access the dashboard to re-activate the plugin
Just a bump for core devs:
https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2690So, I had a theme which I tuned to work with bbpress and I really like it. I changed some css and some files to make it work. Now, I switch to a new WordPress theme and as a result, bbpress revert back to its original looks and feel which is not that eye catching. So what I would like to know is is it possible to still keep the old looks with the new theme or in another way, apply the old theme to bbpress ?
I’m obviously missing something quite fundemental 🙂
I’ve installed bbpress (WordPress 3.9.2, bbpress 2.5.4), created some forums, and put the forum index on to one of my pages. All of this works fine.
What I don’t have is a login or register button at the top of the forum list? I have a search button but that’s it. It would be handy to have a ‘view profile’ button up there too. How do I get these buttons, is there some extra code I need to add?
Also, which file would I need to change if I wanted to alter the appearance of the forum a little – for example make the font a little larger. My forum page is here: http://www.blueberrycovebeads.com/forum
Thanks!
Topic: Old version of Bbpress
I want the old version of the plugin, which is separated by WordPress.
I have been trying to research the most effective way to achieve the below with a plugin or combination of plugins. Any help would greatly appreciated.
I’m using WordPress 4.0.
- Website containing a small private forum area that is password protected (forum page displays only a user login panel until you sign in, so non-members will not see any forum content at all).
- Once logged in the user can both view and post in the forum.
- Users can be created manually from the back end of the site but would preferably get some kind of front end user profile rather than having access to the WordPress Admin bar.
- Users can include attachments (.pdf or .doc/.docx) in posts for comment
- No front end registration as the forum will only be open to a select few
Hello everyone,
I have a WordPress 4 / bbpress 2.5.4 installation.
I have a problem with topics and replies created on frontend: they don’t appear on the website.
I have 4 topics on a forum, and the page says “this forum has 4 topics”, but then it shows me only the one that I’ve created on backend.
Even in the backend when I go to “topics” it says 4 topics but shows me just 1.
Can someone help me please?site:http://tesseraltyme.com/i/newage/
