Hi there. I discovered bbPress circa 2007. I might have updated the version since, and most likely did. I probably stopped using it by 2010. I don’t know how to even determine what version it is (filename ?).

At that time, I was not using WordPress on that domain. I used bbPress as a standalone forum software.

Bottom line: is it possible to upgrade that installation? What would be my steps to at least salvage the db, perhaps install a WordPress and re-use the old bbPress. Quite honestly, just curious.

I would like to add a title banner to all my forum pages so that it is consistent with the rest of the website.

This page is an example of what I would like it to look like – wbc1.otiscreative.co.uk/forum-home/ – this is created with Divi though with shortcodes which doesn’t work so this is just for visual representation.

So, I think I am after a way to inject this title banner into the forum pages, perhaps using the functions.php file, I am not entirely sure but would really appreciate some guidance on how to crack this.

I hope someone can help. I have an issue with these two bbPress pages.

It picks up the divi default formatting rather than the structure of the other pages, see example here: wbc1.otiscreative.co.uk/advice/finance/

It needs to sit in the same style template but I don’t know how to do this. I am using Divi theme but i am using the bbPress default set-up (not shortcodes).

Help would be very much appreciated.

The changelog page https://codex.bbpress.org/releases/ is not mentioning version 2.6.8 nor 2.6.9. and links to blog are not working.
Would be handy if that would be accurate.

Hello, I just installed bbPress into our WP site that is running BuddyPress with a Woffice theme for intranet and I have a problem with language localization.

The site language and other settings are set to the Czech language. The bbPress seems to be confused and some things are translated, but some things are still displayed in English. I checked the language file with translations and I can clearly see, that the strings that are shown in English ARE actually translated to Czech.

1/ View on the front end. As you can see, something is in Czech, something in English

2/ For example, the String “CREATE NEW TOPIC IN…” is translated in bbpress-cs_CZ.po like this, which is correct but unfortunately, it is not shown
English > Create New Topic in “%s”
Czech > Vytvořit nové téma ve fóru „%s“

I manage a website with BBPress and BuddyPress. I am being told that Moderators are now unable to block users after the recent update. I don’t use it in the front end and wanted to see if anyone knew if there is a setting to allow this at all that may have changed.

I’ve been battling this bug for months now and it’s driving me up the wall.

When a forum user has more than one page of forum topics or replies, the pagination links do not generate correctly.

Take this user, for example: …com/members/adaptprep/forums/

For forum topics, the URL that is generated for the page 2 link is:
…com/members/adaptprep/page/2/
when it should be
…com/members/adaptprep/forums/topics/page/2/

For forum replies, the URL that is generated for the page 2 link is:
…com/members/adaptprep/page/2/
when it should be
…com/members/adaptprep/forums/replies/page/2/

I have seen many users with similar issues, but so far no solutions. Can anyone help?
