    Just found an interesting bug here, when you split a topic it shows the error messaages:

    ERROR: Invalid author name submitted!

    ERROR: Invalid email address submitted!

    Doesn’t split but when you go back to the forum, the post has split off but not to anything else and can only be seen by going to the wp-admin area.

    I’m having a bit of trouble with the freshness of topics on my forums.

    Take a look here:

    http://sota-guild.tk/forums

    You’ll see that some forums has a freshness of around 160 days even tho ppl have been making new topics and responding much later than that.

    Known bug or something wrong with my settings?

    @Tom – I’ll take a look at that tonight.

    @johan – Have you tried doing a recount of the freshness times in your forums?

    (Admin > Tools > Recounts)

    @johan – I’ll look around and see if something is excluding categories for some reason.

    @johan – Not a bug, since it’s possible to have several pages of favorites and subscriptions too. If you don’t have enough for a second page, then there aren’t any to show. :)

    Those should probably be broken up into pages at some point, though.

    @JJJ Ahaa! Then I get it. Would be good to break them up at some point, yeah. It’s a bit unclear at this point.

    About the freshness tho. It seems to be working okay now when someone makes a new post or topic, but the older stuff is still buggy.

    They are imported from the standalone version of bbPress if that makes any difference to you.

    I made a first translation in glotpress for the french… And I wanted to test it on the beta version… I exported a .mo file from glotpress… I put it in the bbp-language folder but this not enough… What else?

    Thanks a lot… This looks very promising !!

    Hello

    Any news about the final release of bbpress 2.0? Because WP 3.2 is already out, and bbpress is not :(

    Deadlines are pretty much there to miss them ;) It’s done when it’s done. Just be glad when it doesn’t take as long as Duke Nukem Forever did :)

    When it’s done you will not be able to miss the news about that, no worries.

    @pimarts thanks for update

    Do You know is there any younger version available than beta 3b? Because someone have talked about RC version, but i dont know where it can be downloaded from

    @andrejcarter

    @dobralog – Go to https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/branches/plugin, click on the zip archive link on the bottom, and upload to your site.

    @tooltrainer

    Try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/open-in-new-window-plugin/

    Helped me out as well with your problem :)

    Is there planned releasing bbpress 2.0 RC2? Because RC1 have been released over a week ago, so i think that some progress fixing the bugs have been made

    @pimarts

    @ dobralog: If you followed the link in Andre’s post you’ll have the latest version. Any changes made go (more or less) directly into trac.

    Can you please elaborate on the partial BP 1.3 and bbpress 2.0 compatibility?

    How will they be integrated?

    I imagine I’m in the minority, as most BP users seem to prefer having separate group forums appear under each group, but I’d like a more traditional unified forum where you can see the user’s group along with their title in posts, and perhaps have restricted access to sub-forums for groups.

    Is that possible?

    can you please make the plugin to work from a subdomain? for exapmple my blog site is site.com, an the forum url to be forum.site.com

    @andrejcarter

    @alexvorn2 – You can make it work with a subdomain now. Create the forum.site.com subdomain. Next create a page, title it “Forum” or whatever you like. Put “[bbp-forum-index]” including the brackets as the content of the page and publish it.

    Then go to Settings -> Reading in the Admin panel. Change the “Front Page Displays” option to page and select “Forum” or whatever you named the page. An example is at http://forum.ajorel.com.

    Hi JJJ…

    Can we use bbPress plugins on bb2.0 b3 plugin?

    amirsaam

    @7i7griffin

    @Andre Nah man! that’s not good enough! As JJJ said it will fixed on alpha release for multisites and will be better!

    @Andre

    Where I can find list of shortcodes like for example “[bbp-forum-index]“???

    pimarts

    @pimarts

    https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-20-theme-compatibility

    And there’s more in the bbp-core-shortcodes.php file.

    page in question → http://textfugu.com/bb/

    On my forum page index, the pages for the next topics page aren’t going to the right page for the next page.

    They go to http://www.textfugu.com/page/2/ instead of http://www.textfugu.com/bb/page/2/

    I saw something about this that I think is fixed by changing forums → forum, or vice versa, but looks like my code for this was right, plus I have the most updated version (actually, this stopped working after I updated, it seems).

    Anything else I should check / change?

    Thanks much!

    I’m using 2.0 beta 3 and it’s live on my site. http://www.jeff-foliage.com I have only had one person try it and one thing I’ve noticed (which I assume will be fixed in the final RC) is up front in your face logging in or registering of users. right now the plugin uses the subscriber permissions to be able to post to the forum but to me it seems really obscure for them to get going.

    I’m also using a plugin that checks ip addresses to prevent spammers from creating accounts and I’m not sure if this will affect the final RC and creating new accounts.

    I’m waiting for a RC since I don’t want to mess with manually updating the files on the server.

    I hope there is a RC before fall since my site is all about fall foliage in New England and from here out until 1 Nov is my busy season..

    I’ts looking good and I hope you get some good donations from this…
