Hello, I am about to integrate a forum on my site, i am just wondering though if bbpress works on mobile device – mobile phones particularly. Based on the anakytics on my site i am having a good number of visitors from symbian, ovi, iOS and android users. I am particularly concern if bbpress will look nice on a mobile device for better user experience.

JJJ – I came here looking for the current code and to see if you needed any beta testers. I found the code in the svn and see you are at alpha-2. I can also see that your code is really clean and readable. I’m sure that’s taken a lot of work, so thanks. The proof is in the pudding, and you’ve got you’ve got me dancing around like Bill Cosby here.

I am really surprised by those numbers. One issue I always have is upgrading my platforms to the latest and greatest. We are looking at using bbpress for a community portion of our product and I am encourage my the forward progress from its members.

Maybe is a good idea also a “spacial forum” with all articles by blog (just link to view article) and bridged comments. Hardwareupgrade.it use this structure and is more appreciated by many user.
Eg: blog > *hwupgrade.it/blog/221.html
forum > *hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?threadid=2041458
(an user can comment from blog and/or from forum but i think this can be more complicated) 
@JJJ oops, sorry my bad. Wasn’t trying to link but didn’t think about the post turning it into a link. That site is the theme I’m using, not a bbPress install, but I’m using it inside bbP and it’s working great (which is somewhat surprising given the complexity of it all). I’ll edit that post if I can.
BTW, with regards to the super sticky… it appears to be working again. Not sure why, don’t believe I changed anything but… it’s behaving as expected so I can’t complain. Go figure!
@Arjun – this is great, going to check out your sig plugin immediately. This is one of the last major “must have” features that I wanted before my forum goes live. Thanks for doing it!

I installed the bbpress but I didn’t the integration with wordpress. So I tried to do now but not work. How do I do to reset installation of bbpress and to get the integration with data of wp-config.php file? Anyone please? Thanks.
@tooltrainer – I don’t see bbPress installed anywhere on that site. I’d rather you not link to your site if there’s no visible bbPress installation on it. Also not very fond of the pop up alert when I tried to navigate away from it.

If using a theme where pages contains subjects and user names of other pages, using Google to find pages in the forum will give lots of false hits. Like if I use in Google
site:terapisnack.com social fobi knet99
this will not only give pages with my nick about the subject, but also lots of false hits on pages where I at the time the crawler was there, I was listed in the section “Senaste inläggen” (most recent posts) at the bottom of the page.
So how is this solved, and are there mutiple options how to solve this?
I assume one would be to have a separate “clean theme”, that only contains what we want the web crawler to see, and switch theme on user agent? Is this support built into bbPress, or is there a plugin that can do this?
Or is there some meta tag that can control what part of a page a crawler will ignore? I.e. just change the existing theme some?
Or some other solution?
Any advice is welcome!

How about you French-language folks provide a list of the English terms that don’t have an appropriate French equivalent, and provide the terminology you think it should have. Then the language files can be updated.
Would be faster than waiting for someone to get around to it.
