I know how to password protect all the pages on my wordpress site. But I don’t know hot to password protect the forum page. Our forum page will not be available publicly so only those person who has a password can only access the page. Can you tell me how? Thanks.

Despite reading many threads about this, I still couldn’t figure out a way to change the language of the forum to hebrew. I will work you through what I did:

1. Download bbPress.

2. Add all the pages (login, register etc.) to the menu. (since the website is in hebrew, you can the pages find it under the second last menu item).

3. Download the hebrew .po and .mo files and put them in the directory /wp-content/languages/bbpress with the proper name (bbpress-he_IL.po and bbpress-he_IL.mo)

4. Check the websites register and login pages, still in english.

5. Edit “wp-config.php” file and added “define(‘BBLANG’, ‘bbpress_he_IL’);”.

6. Check the websites register and login pages, still in english.

Also things I have tried:
– Putting the .po and .mo files under /wp-content/languages/plugins/.

– Made sure I don’t have a translation update under “Dashboard -> Updates” in wordpress.

Important Note:
The hebrew is not 100% finished, but from this guide I understood that it doesn’t matter as long as I manually override it.

So the bottom line is – I really need help figuring that out. What am I missing?

bbpress just us wordpress login, so the issue is probably outside bbpress.

It could be a theme or plugin issue

Plugins

Deactivate all and see if this fixes. if it does, start with bbpress and re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

Themes

If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

Then come back

that is the definitive way, but you could start with any plugins that relate to logging in if you have any.

I don’t see an export/import feature in bbPress

Can this be done? If so, please advise on how.

Hi, in group forum or forum alone page it shows in first line ” This forum contains 2 topics, and was last updated by Drishti Connect 4 days, 23 hours ago.” and below it display “Oh bother! No topics were found here!” my wordpress ver is 4.9.8 | bbpress ver is 2.5.14 | buddpress ver is 3.1.0 and my theme is PE School by PixelEmu. its work fine with Twenty Seventeen wordpress theme.
my problem is that my site will be used by blind people and it need to be 100% accessible and PE School theme provide me the same. our theme provider are not ready to support voluntarily.

Hi,
I have the WP page http://www.jdmspritturkey.com and the phpbb forum http://www.jdmspiritturkey.com/forum and its all alive for 2 years. I have some problems with the phpbb so i want to import it to bbpress so the portal and the forum will be fully integrated.

If i import to bbpress what will happen to wp portal writings, users etc or is there any strategy with no casulties?

Our wp page version is 4.9.8 and the phpbb is 3.2.2

PHPBB is now on 3.22 . Apparently a bunch of the table columns have changed.

I’m willing to install bbpress 2.6 to see what happens, I have installed a test wordpress site, but I can’t seem to find where to download it.

Any info about converting a 3.22 PHPBB database?

This error is generated when a word used is in the blacklist_keys stored by wordpress in wp-options, which is presumably where your moderated words are stored.

Argh, I just tested it with a blocked dummy account and the replies still come through, unfortunately. 🙁

So you’re saying the only thing I should have to do is change the Forum Role within WordPress>Users to “blocked” and this should work, correct?

simplest way would be to use my bbp style pack plugin

bbp style pack

once activated go to

dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>freshness display

if you want to edit a file, then ensure you do this to a copy in a bbpress folder in your child theme.

you’ll find the original template you want to alter in

templates/default/bbpress/loop-forums.php

WordPress comes with its own Emoji CSS. You can try disabling it with this plugin:

It’s plausible that a theme or plugin change brought this back to life when it was previously disabled somewhere. Hard to say.

that error suggests that your theme Stockholm and file js/plugins.js is the problem.

So it initially looks like enabling tinymce within bbpress is calling the tinymce or other code within your theme – the bbpress code you are using just turns on the wordpress function.

to prove, try switching as a test to a default theme, such as twentyseventeen and see if the error goes away

You should determinr if the file is indeed malware, and then find where it came from. If you installed plugins only from WordPress.org, they should be safe.

I try to only do plugins that “seem” reputable. Stuff that has a strong number of positive reviews with recent updates and can be found under the WordPress list. Again, I am new though, so I still may be naive in thinking that makes them safe.

I am using the WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme. Does it matter that I did not create a custom theme?

I believe my site was automatically updated to WordPress 4.9.8 today. I went to
Appearance -> Customize, and I got a 505 Internal Error page. After a bit of
digging, I found that bbpress v 2.5.14, when deactivated, makes this problem go
away. When I enable the plugin again, the problem returns. When Deactivated the
problem goes away again. Everything else seems to work fine except for the Customize under Appearance. Since this is isolated to bbpress, I figured I should notify you.

I’m trying to enable Visual Editor for my forum.

I would really prefer that TOPIC publishing/editing be limited to MODERATORS with PARTICIPANTS limited to REPLY publishing/editing etc. This seems like an widely useful adaptation but I don’t see how to do it, either within bbPress or using other plugins such as Members. bbPress 2.5.14, wordpress 4.9.7

Hello, I would like you to help me, I have been testing bbpress because they told me to create a forum for the web of my work and I have a problem. When I create a topic and click on the edit button that brings bbpress, it redirects me to a page that does not exist or that is not activated, I suppose. For example, if the topic is called a test, it redirects me to *** / test / edit / I hope you understand me. Well, edit does not exist … I can edit the topic from dashboard of wordpress but the idea is that users who register and create a debate can edit it …
The same thing happens to me when click on the username that created the topic and when click on merge . Those three links respond to a message from my website (page not found) edit, merge and the user.
I can not show you the web link because it belongs to a private network.
I’ve already tried disabling all the plugins, changing the theme and finally a wordpress mounted on my laptop to test and nothing.
