Hello,
WordPress version: 4.8 | bbPress version: 2.5.13
when I try to visit a profile I find myself endig up on the 404 page. It happens with every account but one – mine. Its the oldest account on this installation. But that’s all. I tried it with other Users who got the exact same rights I have and so on but nothing changes.
I tried:
– different themes
– every possible changes in user roles
– deactivating from pluginsBut the strange and unique thing in my case is that there is one account that isn’t facing any problems.
I can’t finde a solution. Would be awesome if anybody could help me out with that!
You can test it here: https://netzwerk-schienenlaerm.de/foren/thema/1-phase-der-oeffentlichkeitsbeteiligung-des-eba-im-rahmen-der-eu-umgebungslaermrichtlinie/
Thanks!
Jonas
I’ve been searching for an answer, that I couldn’t find here. It was actually quite easy to find the solution by myself. But just in case someone need do to this too, this is how you do it:
-> Create a new folder named “bbpress” at the root of your wordpress theme:
/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEMENAME/bbpress/-> Find the file named “content-single-forum.php” located here:
/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/bbpress/content-single-forum.php
and copy into your newly created folder:
/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEMENAME/bbpress/content-single-forum.phpNow bbpress will use this file instead, if your “YOURTHEMENAME” is in use.
-> Open the file under
/wp-content/themes/YOURTHEMENAME/bbpress/content-single-forum.php
Go to line 48, and you should find this:
<?php bbp_get_template_part( 'form', 'topic' ); ?>
Comment this line this way:
<?php //bbp_get_template_part( 'form', 'topic' ); ?>And you’re done! Easy and clean!
Of course you might want to add a button to create a new topic.
You can do it, following these steps:https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/how-to-add-new-topic-button/

buddypress 2.8.2I’m using group types on my bbpress/buddypress site. I’ve had to get creative when it comes to breadcrumbs. There was one minor changes to the bbp_get_breadcrumb function that I had to make to make the breadcrumbs work. I copied the function into my functions.php and added a filter. I’m getting an error/notice:
Notice: Use of undefined constant mod_bbp_get_breadcrumb – assumed ‘mod_bbp_get_breadcrumb’The function is doing exactly what I want it to do. but this error is showing up. The functions is originally located in bbpress/includes/common/template.php file
here’s the code:

HonorBound Motorcycle MinistryWe use a membership script integrated with WP and BBP. When users unsubscribe from emails in script, they still get email notifications from bbp (topic replies, etc). This is bad.
It’s easy for us to mass-assign these members to a custom role. Is there a way to prevent bbp from sending emails to these users who have this custom role?
I see here that you can create functions for creating new capabilities (for User Role Editor plugin):
Is there a function, or another method I can use to prevent bbp from sending of all emails for users who have specific custom role?
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi there,
Is it possible to have all “Topics” (so NOT the “Reaction Posts”) made by “Participants” approved (by a bbPress “Moderater”) before they are published?.
I read some post about this and see this plugin: /wordpress.org/plugins/bbpressmoderation/ –> BUT this is 4 years old! I would normaly NEVER use this old versions on a large commercial website. Plus it seems that this plugin let me also approve the reaction posts and this is not workable for us.
I am running WordPress 3.7.5 with bbPress 2.6-rc-3 on PHP 7.1.x With > 200 Forums
Thx in advance for helping me out.
p.s. is this maybe a nice feature for a nex bbPress version say 2.6-rc-4 😉
best regards,
Berrie Pelser – Ber|ArtI have rolled out my blog realoutdooradventure.com. Wow BBPress was so easy to setup and use. No for the hard part. I want people to log via WordPress Social Login and I have set it up for Facebook, Google + and Twitter. Easy Right? How do I get it to finally integrate with BBPress? Because right now nobody can start a Post besides me and that’s no good right?
Any Advice?
windwardoaksontherez.website/ I have created a homeowner’s website with both blog posts and forums. When I activate the bbPress, the blog feed grays out on the home screen and the news link on the menu opens a blank page. Users who login can see the blogs but the public view is missing. I don’t have anything setup restricting the post pages or the forums.
If I deactivate the plugin, then both the logged in members and the public can see the blog posts, but then, of course, I don’t have forums. Any idea what is causing this to happen?
