Threaded-Style Theme

Published on July 13th, 2011 by Wendell

I’ve built a very popular forum for a particular market segment using MyLittleForum and they LOVE it. However, administering and moderating it isn’t that great. So I’m wondering if a theme could be developed for bbPress to basically mimic the MyLittleForum style?

If this is possible and not yet available, and anyone is interested, please let me know your willingness, timeframe and price.

Thank you!

Facebook Connect for BBPress Plugin for wordpress

Published on July 13th, 2011 by mayank_sabharwal

I was wondering how can I enable facebook connect to post replies or create topics in my bbpress forum which is installed as a wordpress plugin on my wordpress blog. Any help or a hint in right direction will be appreciated.

(suggestion) Specific forum just for 2.x plugin version

Justa a comment but I feel it would make sense to split the “old” forums regarding bbPress with the plugin related ones having so many differences in the code.

Catching notices and errors on custom login/regster/lost-pass pages in BBPress b

Published on July 12th, 2011 by Amit78

Hi All,

hope you’re doing well.. I’m using the latest beta and implemented custom login/register/forgot pages using the page templates which come with the theme. my only problem is when there’s an error (email exists, empty password etc.) the form redirects to /wp-login.php , I can’t seem to find the way to override this url and return the user to the page he came from along with the notices/erros.. any ideas?

thanks in advance!

BBpress Sitemap & WordPress Sitemap Integration?

Published on July 12th, 2011 by benniebob

I use wordpress (and I am experimenting with the bbpress plugin). I use the xml sitemap generator plugin for wordpress, and it has worked well (I think its made by Arne Brachhold).

I noticed that it didn’t seem to pick up on bbpress posts though, even though I have bbpress installed as a plugin. Is there some way to have these integrated so that it shows for both?

Or is there a plugin available that combines these two into one sitemap?

Thanks!

Combining BBpress RSS feed with WordPress Rss feed Possible?

Published on July 12th, 2011 by benniebob

I was wondering if there was a way to combine the rss feeds for both the bbpress (plugin), and wordpress.

The reason is that I would like for people to be able to subscribe, and get one email (via feedburner) that has all posts/forum threads, etc. for the day.

Is it possible to do this (without too much coding)?

Thanks!!

2.0 beta RC1: splitting a reply into its own topic results in reply disappearing

Published on July 12th, 2011 by hlwinkler

Hello,

When I click the “split” link on a reply, choose the option of having the replies from that point on added to a new topic, and enter the name of the topic, the reply I clicked “split” for just disappears, both from the thread and from the forum. I can still see it in PHPMyAdmin if I search for its contents. The subsequent replies stay in the old topic. This has happened both with WP 3.1.2 and 3.2.
