Is “fi” the exact language code you have set in your wp-config.php? It’s not “fi_FI” or “fi_SF” or whatever it might be?

    Hello,

I’m looking for a swedish translation of the bbPress 2.0 plugin. I’ve seen people here with swedish translations of bbPress 1.0, so I thought I’d ask if anybody are sitting on a translation for 2.0 before I start translating it on my own.

    Thanks in advance.

Can’t find a Swedish translation set for the bbPress plugin in GlotPress, and it seems I can’t create one. Would be great if someone could set one up so we could start translation.

@JJJ: Thanks.. I’ve created a bug for the missing option to choose a Hidden or Private forum as parent. And after moving the language files to a subfolder named bbpress the translation worked. I’m trying to figure out the importer problem, to make a good bug report, and as far I can see you’ve already fixed problems that I made quick-fixes for (the same way I did it).

So the problem now, is that I can’t run the importer at all (returning the blank “content” after specifying the path. I’m looking into it, and testing to see if I can figures out what’s going on..

I have a new and simple questions, which might be a bug:

    * Shouldn’t it be possible to choose either users og user roles of which are able to view hidden and private forums? As far as I can see, Administrators are the only one to view these, and no changes can be made.

I’m working on a danish translation of bbPress, and is about half way through, but would like to test if the terms are used correctly in context. But for some reason I can’t make it use my .po file. I’ve copied both the .po and .mo to the /wp-content/languages/ folder, and the files are named: bbpress-da_DK.po/.mo

    What is wrong?

@jarledb – Eventually bbPress will be on GlotPress, which will enable easier crowd sourcing of translations.

Feel free to delete any surplus entries. I feel like I am taking over the thread.

I figured out the language file had to be put in wp-contents/languages/bbpress/ catalog to work (and with the naming bbpress-nb_NO.mo for norwegian). Now I just have to get poedit to co-operate.

Are there any other tools/plugins that you recommend to do translations? What would be a good tool to work with the .POT file that is included with the plugin?

    Hello,

wpml-translation-management has the ability to extract all the strings from your plugin and give you a .po file to translate.

Hi, I have started to translate the POT file, but i can’t translate the followings:

    %d year

    %d month

    %d week

    etc.

I tried to write into the translation field, but it won’t appear. I’m doing it the same way as with the others.

    Any clues?

I am having a very hard time understanding the instructions. I have uploaded the unzipped bbpress files to the following folder:

    campbellduke.com/sandbox/bbpress (sandbox.campbellduke.com – as it’s an addon domain).

When I go to sandbox.campbellduke.com/bbpress, it redirects correctly to the bb-admin/install, but the page gives the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/camp2909/public_html/sandbox/bbpress/bb-includes/backpress/pomo/translations.php on line 139

If, on the other hand, I go to: sandbox.campbellduke.com/bb-admin I end up back in my wordpress dashboard.

    Help!
