It’s the form under this sentence: “This form is only for plugin developers. If you’d like to see a plugin listed here, please contact that plugin’s author. “
Anyway if I remember well a couple of weeks ago someone got the the same problem. try to logout/login from within the plugin section.
@dsmasters change permalinks couple times and back to custom seem to work. reported bug.
created forum name general and then topics
replied to topics and check main page
posts = 0 voices = 1
replied to same topic two more times, same results
@intmenz – I had the same issue and actually had the same issue and had to hot the refresh button in my browser to get it to work. For whatever reason clicking a link to the page would not work.
I tried this now
http://www.example.com/forum/general

Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
If I reset and go to default permalink, no problem.
Using 2580
I am sorry if this is documented somewhere but where are the settings for the forum other then for Forums, Topics, and Replies?
I specifically am looking for where I can turn off anonymous posting to the forum. I selected “Users must be registered and logged in to comment ” under Settings > Discussion in WordPress but this only seems to apply to posts.
Am I missing something?
Hi there,
I developed a plugin today that allows to import users from BBpress bb_users table to WordPress.
I wanted to publish it here but the Add your plugin link at http://bbpress.org/plugins/ is telling me: You can add the plugin you’ve written to the plugin directory by filling out the form below…
the problem is that, there’s no form out there
!
any idea?
Please please I’ve spent hours and hours trying to install bbpress which apparently should only take 5 minutes. Could any body please hold my hand through the process.
Where exactly do I put the folder “bbpress” at when i open my FTP
How exactly do I put bbpress at craftsaddict.com/forums
I know this should be foolproof but I need help. Thank you so much in advance.
I need a forum for my Joomla site and really like bbPress. I don’t have any users on my Joomla side so the forum will run its own members, which is fine and how I want it.
However, it is very important that the forum integrates somewhat with my Joomla template.
Has anyone done this? Is there a good guide? What is the best way to integrate bbPress with my Joomla template? It doesn’t have to be perfect but I want it to look unified.
Thank you!
Yeah… thanks zaerl for pointing that out.
I guess my intention is really to have a bbPress forum, supported with a WYSIWYG editor similar to that of WordPress’.
At the moment however, installing bbPress doesn’t provide that function and I’d like to find out if there’s any way to do it.
I’d like to let users post up references e.g. images/videos that are useful to a thread they started, like how most forums allow it, and be able to let others rate the posts.
This way the home page can feature the posts which carry weight. For example, which posts have the highest views for the day, which posts are highly rated, and so on.
I’m inexperienced with programming, kindly forgive me if I use the terms wrongly.

This is the bbPress support forum. Despite the name the forum component of BuddyPress isn’t (the real) bbPress.

Hi there,
Thanks for viewing this topic.
So… where do I start.
I have recently installed BuddyPress with WordPress.
The idea is to create a website that is a cross between news sites like NYTimes and Facebook.
To have users become both the journalists and the viewers.
However, at the moment I’m facing a lot, a lot of inconsistencies.
For example: Should I allow users to even get into the WordPress posting dashboard?
I’d like to make it so users can post on the forums with a good WYSIWYG editor – that they can add images, videos etc. like a normal forum. Then, other users can rate the posts up or down – so that the home page can show which posts have the most views, which posts are highest rated, and so on. However, this has been difficult to do…
So I’d like to ask whether there are plugins… or perhaps any assistance on how one can accomplish that?
I would greatly appreciate any help given here.
Thanks.

I want to reInstall bbpress – I messed up first time so I deleted it from my website.
I deleted database I’ve created but now I can’t acces http://endgoalmarketing.com/bbpress
Is there any other way to start installation or just mywebsite.com/bbpress – I get an error message here.
bbPress is a software that generate dynamic content and not a file explorer. You can’t see the content of that folder unless you setup Apache to generate indexes for that particular folder.

I recently started a blog and I added bbPress for a forum related to the blog. I do have a ‘interesting’ thing happening.
if I go to the forum (http://forum.eshipguy.com) the front page looks great(ish). but if I go to any topic, forum, registration or any other sub-page, Firefox/Internet Explorer changes the title to Page Not Found – yet the content shows just fine.
I am running with deep wordpress integration
