It is very weird problem. Sometimes If click any link my site. bbpress stops and page not reload after 5-10 second, works again.

I suppose the reason is changed permalinks in functions.bb-template. I change topic and tags links.
Rest assured it’s not permanently deleted (just do NOT do a recount).
There may be a bug somewhere in the 1.0.2 api
There are a few things you can try.
First, if you are using permalinks, temporarily turn that feature off, it might help. Then go try undeleting it again.
bbPress also has a “safemode” just in case a plugin is interfering.
Temporarily try putting
$bb->safemode=1;
into your bb-config.php file
Then try undeleting it again.
(remove that line and restore permalinks afterwards)
If all that fails, you need to have phpmyadmin or similar on your hosting.
If you have that, you can manually go into the topics database table and change the status back to 0
10 months ago, someone reported the same problem
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/undelete-topics-does-not-work
So be sure to try 1.0.3 (you should upgrade anyway).
If that does not change things, the fix might only exist in bbPress 1.1 which is supposed to have a release candidate by the end of this month (maybe).

The forum that I am a moderator of is currently running bbPress versoin 1.0.2.
The problem that wwe ahve experienced is one of our moderators accidentally deleted an entire topic. Whenever we enter the admin section and go to undelete the entire topic, it just leads us to a blank page and it doesn’t ever undelete the thread.
Is there a way to fix this or are we screwed?
i knew i had read about 1.0.3 release somewhere:

Not sure why I can’t change the theme to my bbPress at the moment.
I have created a new root directory called ‘my-templates’ and the permission is set to ‘755’
Yet, the theme doesn’t show up in my bbPress CMS.
I was able to change the theme yesterday, but not today for some reason. And my current theme (custom) isn’t even showing up in the root directory right now with the default kakumei themes where I uploaded it.
Any ideas?
A conversion script will be bundled with the plugin, however since bbPress doesn’t come with an export tool, it will probably happen at the database level and not via an XML import/export.
JJJ, forgive me if I missed this elsewhere on the forum… will the conversion script come with RC1? Or will that be in a later update?

Thanks for your fast reply.
Great! I’ll start releasing themes.

My forums- http://www.thegeekgroup.org/bb –
are running ridiculously slow. A new post takes roughly 30 seconds to a full minute to go through, and we’re getting a lot of people double-posting unintentionally. (A LOT of people) Sometimes it just times out, and people then hit refresh, and find out that they in fact posted 3 or 4 times…. or it just times out and the post is lost.
All other stuff running on my server is fine, including a WordPress install, so I have to believe it is central to the BBPress installation.
This has been happening for a few weeks/maybe a month or two. Would love insight as to how I can make this move along faster.
Maybe it´s because Justin Bieber sucks?

Yes, but the structure can be filtered/adjusted as needed by a theme or plugin too.

I use bbPress to run a trouble-shooting site. So when labeled closed that means the problem is solved.
I want to exclude [closed] topics from latest discussion in the front page. Is there anyway to do so? Sadly my expertise don’t lie in PHP.
@johnjamesjacoby
Will current theme structure of the Twenty Ten theme that is currently bundled with the bbPress plugin remain the same? I understand that some features will be added with the official release, but I am eager to release compatible themes.
It was released February 23rd but there was no announcement or blog entry
Thanks ck. Glad I stopped in to the forum today!

@mr_pelle let’s be sure to keep reminding them on that mysql 5.5 blocker solved for the 1.1 release candidate which might be out by the end of March.
It’s already flagged critical so it should get some attention.
