I adapted the

WordPress plugin Comment Quicktags + by Dan Cameron so you can add a quicktags toolbar over textarea for inserting or editing posts in the various bbPress pages.

Te plugin already support the IMG tag to include images inside a topic. To make this tag works you need to install another plugin to support the img tag.

thanks alot for having me look it back over. See, I haven’t yet pointed my site to my domain yet, http://www.tammyhartdesigns.com, because i want to develop this before i release it, so i have to use that weird address to see the site so far. So i was using the /~wwwtamm as part of the address, and putting it there. but I moved it to the directories part: ‘/~wwwtamm/wordpress/bbPress/’

and now it all works! thanks again.

Have login my existing WordPress cPanel, the phpMyAdmin and MySQL doesnt have bbPress database installed. Hope that we are talking about the same location.

Just checked with my provider support via ICQ, latter advise same location as above.

Should my current/existing WordPress administrator access level provide me same access to bbPress?

All bbpress database will start with prefix “bb_” and wordpress database will start with prefix “wp_”. So it was easy to see the difference between both database.

Both WordPress and bbPress are sharing the same Cookie for 1 single login: tested.

New bbPress registeration, username and password, can access the WordPress login no problem.

In my 1rst bbPress installation, I had created a bbpress related MySQL table database, via my cPanel, and added existing WordPress users to the new MySQL bbPress database. I did run the bbPress Running Installer and chose an Admin username; this Installer emailed me the Admin password.

In my 2nd bbPress configuration, I configured the config.php file to integrate bbPress to my existing WordPress MySQL database. Then, sometime, I deleted the bbPress MySQL database and bbPress users. I did not run bbPress Running Installer a 2nd time reason my bbPress was available immediately http://patrimoineacadien.com/bbpress/ .

Since, I’ve been capable of reaching the Running Installer needed to create a new Admin username and password.

To your request, I checked again my MySQL database, there are no bbPress MySQL database. Then, I deleted again all bbPress folders/files using my bulletproofFTP. After, I FTP uploaded bbPress folders/files back to /public_html/blogue/bbpress location. Still the same results, http://patrimoineacadien.com/bbpress/ is already up and bbPress never ask me the Running Installer.

What else can I do? Thanks for your patience and support.

I have talked it over with the author of the plugin and we are trying to figure out some code for older mySQL databases. He wrote the plugin for mySQL over version 4 and I have 3.23.58. While the plugin works for me (with many errors) I just need to make a couple of changes to the mySQL statements in the plugin to get rid of the errors.

The plugin in question is located at:

The first error I recieved was on the ‘admin page’:

While surfing my bbPress, I’m getting the following error:

okay, i figured all that out, but i’m getting a cookie error when i try to go to a topic or forum. I know there’s somthing about cookies in integrating, but i just don’t understand what i’m supposed to do about that.

To rearrange the stuff, create my-templates directory in your bbpress directory. Make a copy of the files inside bb-templates and copy them to the my-templates.

Edit the front-page.php file. That is where you can rearrange what goes where.

To get the background like here, you have to integrate your bbpress to your wordpress like http://www.abunchofcars.com/forums

This is a great plugin… but, I don’t want every post to go to bbpress. It would be really cool to have a checkbox, that would only send it to bbpress if it was checked. Anyone care to tackle that?

Hi there, I’ve scoured the boards here for a solution to this issue but have only thus far found another instance of the problem. I’m running a WPMU install here and a bbPress install here.

Everything seems to be working fine, short URL’s included, except for user authentication. I can only login through WordPress. Login attempts through bbPress fail with incorrect account info, but don’t do anything with a correct user/pw combination either. WPMU is creating a cookie that bbPress uses, but bbPress seems to be incapable of creating that same cookie I think? Or..? Any ideas?
