That is a 500 error? Do you have permalinks set to true in your config.php?

No plugin needed. Get the user to login, go to their profile, click edit, and scroll down to the bottom to enter new password and then click update profile. They can also try ‘forgot password’ link to get a new password sent to them if they can’t remember it and then change it using steps indicated above!

I put the debug on and it still just gives the firefox redirect problem. I even tried the .htaccess fix….

It must be for only WAP phones more than anything. My phone gives me “an error occurred” when I try and view it. I guess this provides us the best of both worlds since mine is good with newer phones and your keeps the rest of us supported!

I use Ardentfrosts plugin even on sites that I don’t show the memberlist to the public for this very reason. It works great. It even works now with the integration and using WP users. While this is a short term solution for me, I really hope that registrations can be ‘anti spammed’ as well. It is annoying because all BOZO’s make it over in the WP side with integration….

    What exactly did you change?

Since the paths of where to pull the information for the PM plugin are hardcoded for bbPress installs, I don’t know if it is possible. Maybe drop a line to Ardentfrost at:

Don’t worry folks! 0.8 will be out pretty soon with some pretty major changes and 1.0 will be out not far after that. 2007 will have at least 3+ releases this year. All pretty substantial.

I don’t know if anyone kept a list, but this will be the closest to finding it out.

Even if that is a mySQL restriction on the number of entries, I am more than 100% sure there are ways around it. If you need help believing that, just watch what happens when wordpress.org or wordpress.com go over 1,000,000 posts ! ! !

PS Brad, you are still linking your old site in your profile.

I am not sure if this is better as core function, so I placed up a TRAC ticket.

    Orion,

Are you using fancy URL’s (permalinks) and as well, have you checked over the config.php file to make sure that you have the URL’s correctly for the address of the forum. Both if setup incorrectly, will give blank pages and errors.

That is wicked. I had to change my bookmark, but that is fine Brad! I really don’t mean to be a sticker about this, but I don’t suppose having a theme switcher on the new site with a white theme could you? I stare at a computer all day and when I look at a black screen for too long, I start to go blind!

    Keep up the great work!

Yeah, any plugin that uses ‘init’ is now needing to use ‘bb_init’, correct!

Just code changes. Just file overwrites. Obviously, in the download, there is no:

    .htaccess

    config.php

    /my-templates/

    /my-plugins/

If you have those files, just keep them and overwrite the rest. I am sure you knew that already, but I thought I would post it in case others come across this thread!

Nice post! I wasn’t sure how you called the API and Aditya was the only one I knew using those options thus far! Good to know for the future.

While waiting for someone who knows, look at So10’s Private Forum plugin because that call is used there as the plugin was developed for Trac Version of bbPress (now .74)

Thanks for the kind words! bbPress is great! Funny thing is 0.74 might come out this afternoon…..

That will be it. I will have to see what code you add to bb_head and manually put the php function I thinks!

How do you mean? If you go to http://forum.trentadams.ca there is a post Maguire’s Website 1/2 way down page. It is private. Right now, when you are logged out, it has (Private) around it. I will change it back to “don’t show it” and you will see it still there. Click on it, you get the error message.
