In reply to: Error After Upgrading to WordPress 4.5.3
Hi Steve,
And where is your bbPress related question? If your question is general for WordPress then you’re better off in https://wordpress.org/support/
Pascal. In reply to: custom buddypress group forumOnly one tip: Ask on the BuddyPress forum. 🙂
This forum is for bbPress related questions so you might have more luck on buddypress.org/support.Pascal.
Thanks guys for sharing!
In reply to: Inline the search box and button on same lineHi Kelvin,
That’s because of your theme most probably. It can probably be fixed with some CSS, but we would need to see the site to tell you exactly what you need to do.
Can you post a URL so we see ?
Thanks, Pascal. In reply to: notification emails not sending – 2016Hi, Do you use any SMTP plugin ? One that has good logging?
Could you please tell us if the email is generated and leaves your server or if it’s not even sent?I use postman SMTP for testing because it has very good logging features, but any SMTP plugin with good logging would do.

In reply to: Replace WordPress Posts with Forum Topics ?Hi,
It’s not an automated way, but what I had created for personal needs was the ‘bbP Move Topics’ plugin where you can move posts/comments to topics/replies and close the post for further comments.
Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
Pascal. In reply to: I am NewbieHi,
If you are having a small font for bbPress, then most probably your theme is having a standard small font size. CSS is indeed an option to go, but you will have to check in your environment where you have to copy this part. It might be something like:#bbpress-forums .bbp-topic-content, #bbpress-forums .bbp-reply-content { font-size: 16px; }
Otherwise you might try plugins like ‘bbp style pack’ to help styling your forum
Pascal. In reply to: Moderation by ForumI like the idea, interesting approach, if you have other findings, let us know.
Pascal. In reply to: register page not workingHi,
Your WordPress and bbPress version work well together, so I don’t think the issue is on that side. As bbPress is just using WordPress registered users, it is probably a conflict in your theme or one of the other plugins.
Pascal.Added in version 1.0.7 of my bbP Toolkit plugin.
In reply to: assign moderators to specific board & adding rolesHi,
Just some things to check:
– Do you see the topic in the backend, so it’s it really created?
– When you say ‘all plugins’, did you also disable security and spam plugins?
– Did you clear all your cache on server and client? If you have a public site, could you post the link so we can have a try in e.g. a public forum?

In reply to: List of Participants for other Participants to seeHi @pagallery,
Do you mean to see who is ‘currently logged in’ or ‘who has access to this forum’ ?
Pascal.@bjornwebdesign,
Your snippets are not that long, so that’s ok, just the number of snippets is maybe too high 🙂
My only remark is you’re based on a BuddyPress function and this is a bbPress forum. But still useful anyway!
Thanks,
Pascal.Hi @khunmax ,
It’s the first time I’m hearing about a conflict in our 2 plugins, so I would indeed like to know what checkboxes you activated and what you mean with ‘buggy’. Were it CSS/layout issues or did some things stop working?
Thanks, Pascal.Never seen so far, sorry.
Pascal. In reply to: Increase font size of subforum titlesHi, that’s depending on your site and theme, so we can only help you if you can post a link so we can see the real site.
Pascal. In reply to: Images won’t embed / edit the edit logHi,
I never checked the embedding, but for uploading files, the 3 products I know of are ‘GD bbpress Attachments’, ‘Image Upload for BBPress’ and ‘bbPress Multi Image Uploader’. Have a look if it would fit your needs. If you use BuddyPress as well, then there is also ‘BuddyPress Forum Editor’.For you second question, you could try my bbp-toolkit plugin that has this inside or check https://codex.bbpress.org/layout-and-functionality-examples-you-can-use/#22-show%c2%a0only-1-revision-log-on-topics-and-replies

In reply to: How to enable swearing in Forums?Hi,
I didn’t see anything yet to allow this, sorry.
Pascal. In reply to: Phpbb import failed, no replies shownHi,
Did anybody try with bbPress 2.6-alpha ? The version is pretty stable already and has improved performance AND importing capabilities.
Pascal. In reply to: Cannot resume PHPBB forum importHi,
Did you try with bbPress 2.6-alpha ? It’s still alpha but very stable and has improved a lot in both performance and import.Pascal.
In reply to: Member can’t submit comments, later blockedHi, welcome back 🙂
How did you solve the previous issue (https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/member-cannot-post-to-forum/) ? Is the same user involved ? Is this since the last update of Paid MembershipsPro ?
Pascal.
Hi,
Just for testing, make sure your forum is ‘Public’.
Do you see the topic in the backend, so under ‘Topics’ ? Is the status ‘open’ and is it correctly ‘published’ ?You might try to run the recalculation tools (one at a time) in ‘/wp-admin > Tools > Forums > Repair Forums’ to see if that helps after you have created a topic.
Pascal.
In reply to: Link to recent topicsI’m not aware of a widget per member for that. You will probably have to code something yourself.
