The issue was marked as fixed and the bug closed; however, the bug is not actually fixed and is still present in the most recent release.
Here are the original details:
Context:
On the “Edit Topic” screen, there’s an “Author Information” box including an ID field. When you begin to type text into this box, the admin-ajax action “bbp_suggest_user” should auto-suggest potentially matching users.
Issue:
The user autosuggest is not returning any users, just “-1”. Having dug into the code, the step that’s failing is wp_verify_nonce() in check_ajax_referrer(), which is invoked on line 745 of bbPress file includes/admin/admin.php. The nonce is making it into wp_verify_nonce, but is not matching any expected/acceptable value – so wp_verify_nonce falls out the bottom with a failure.If I remove the check_ajax_referrer step, the Edit Topic user auto-suggestion works perfectly so it’s definitely the nonce validation step that’s the problem.
Current context in which I’m still seeing the bug is WP 4.8.1 Multisite, bbPress 2.5.14, PHP 7.0.22. (I’ve been seeing the bug for over 2 years though, including with PHP 5.x).
Would be really grateful if this bug could be fixed in the next release, because I’m having to manually patch every release at the moment (I have a user whose job relies on this function working properly.)

I have a WP multisite (4.8.1) with bbPress (2.5.14) and some other plugins. Since May this year I get Fatal Errors in php-errors.log

It indicates memory loss. To analyze the cause of the memory loss I have in the first step inactivated almost all plugins and activated them one after another. The only plugin which generated Fatal error was bbPress.
In the second step bbPress was activated annd the other plugins inactivated to analyze if the problem is located in bbPress only or if it can be in a conflict between bbPress and other plugins.
The result was that when bbPress was activated together with WPMembers and ArcMember Login (neccesary for the login function) the Fatal Errrors continued to appear. The conclusion is that it must be some problem in the plugin bbPress.
Do I have to abandon bbPress and try another forum plugin or can I do something to get bbPress to work without generating Fatal errors?
We have encountered a bug whereby when multiple forums are placed on a page, using the shortcode, the HTML buttons do not appear for all but the 1st forum. The class=”quicktags-toolbar” div still appears in the source code, but it is empty (the HTML input buttons do not appear within the source HTML).
This issue has been confirmed on multiple installs, with all plugins disabled and using the default WP theme.

I have a parent forum that has a list of sub-forums…similar to this site (http://www.kriesi.at/support/). Is there a way to have topics pinned at this level that apply to all sub-forums? Currently, if I do that, it puts the list of topics at the bottom with the TOPIC header and are separated from the forums list. I would like the list above the sub-forum list).
I am using the Enfold theme.

How do I edit the email my subscribers get? Namely the subject line. I’d like it to start with the name of the specific forum instead of the site so that my members know what specific area it’s in reference to.

I am using the rss feed feature to pull the topic title into my newsletter, however I appear to get the text from the topic body also..
Does anyone know how to get make it show only the topic title?

Hello,
People who cancel their membership are still getting emails for forums that people are replying to. Since they cancelled, they can’t log in and unsubscribe. How do we make it so that when someone cancels their membership, they are no longer sent any emails?

Hello,
Members get notifications for the tags in blog posts and in the forums, but when they click on the notification to view it, it takes them to the main activity news feed, not the blog or forum where they were mentioned.
Also, they receive NO notifications for tags/mentions on pages or recipes.
The only tagging that works properly is when we tag/mention someone in the activity news feed.
Do you have any recommendations for a fix?
