bbPress 2.6.0 Release Candidate 5
Could you please also update it here?
The RC 5 is not getting downloaded for me from the page https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/advanced/
I am getting the following error.
This site can’t be reached
The web page at https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/bbpress.2.6-rc-5.zip might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Sorry to tell you but it seems currently we can’t due to the error message as described in the above reply.
It looks like the file is not at that location anymore. Any expectations around the final 2.6 release?
Under Download in the upper right corner I can only find rc3 and on wordpress.org the link for rc5 is broken.
Is RC5 safe to use on a live site ?
Have a huge site and willing to experiment 🙂
I hear it’s used on wordpress.org and here…
I’m using it but on a smaller site and not using the new features and haven’t noticed any problems.
Note the RC5 package doesn’t include .min version of some files which will be needed if you are not running in debug.
The converter won’t start? I try to make a test conversion from phpbb3 3.2 but nothing happens when i click start 😮
Hi @johnjamesjacoby and team. Like everyone else, I’ve been waiting for the 2.6 release for a few years now. I can see that the last remaining ticket is for the “bump” functions that have been in there for a while.
I’m just curious, are bump functions uniquely challenging to code? Either way, is there anything that I (or anyone) can do to help get this task finished? I have somewhat arbitrarily been waiting for the 2.6 release to make some changes to my site. I’m contemplating updating to the RC5 release. By the way, where can I find the latest RC download link? I dug around but couldn’t find a copy. The RC5 link here (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/advanced/) is still broken.
RC5 rebuild and available on https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/bbpress.2.6-rc-5.zip and also from https://bbpress.org/download/
Thank you for fixing those download links Pascal 🙂
I noticed in Firefox, when I go to Responsive Display Mode and simulate a phone (for example, iPhone 6s), the Topic Type and Topic Status dropdowns seem to not repond to my mouse click 99% of the time (they will randomly work out of nowhere once and then stop).
I do not have this behavior on Chrome.
Just reporting it in the case that it is an idication of something else.
Any update on if this will be the final RC and/or when the full release will be out?
thanks for the download links – have also been looking for them
Is there anything that could be done do get the 2.6 release out sooner ?
Have a large site + a test site (where i can play around in with newer releases) with 2m replies and about 200k topics.
