I want to create a widget for the sidebar of my site that shows the current user’s subscribed forums. (Like when you go to the user profile, you can see a list of subscribed forums, I want to have that list in a sidebar widget.)

Is there a shortcode that could do this? Like:

I have no way of knowing how to describe this so not sure what I would search.

We had a group that used to be on yahoogroups, which we now wanted to migrate and I thought perhaps bbpress might manage. I followed the (somewhat outdated) instructions re importing via a csv file, making three ones for users, topics and replies. On a local installation the topics managed to be imported, but not the replies, and repair forums managed to dis-associate everything.

Now the site is not local, and I am trying to import. None of the importers decide to work with CSV files and custom posts for free. When one did work (having split my smallest CSV file – topics- into 50 different ones), I just tried the first file. It says it imported around 700 records. However, forum is empty, topics show no results, and repair forums does nothing. Neither does resetting permalinks. Neither does clearing cache.

At the top of topics, however, there is this:

The logs as the importer went had “admin view” where on the few I clicked it had the reply, the author and associated to the right forum, but I can’t view it. It says they exist, and also says none exist when I click view all, just as above.

If I create a test one it all appears fine.

I would just quite like some help, and have no idea where to go from here. Please please help!

I would like to know how can I show the last reply instead of last topic in column Forum

I’m trying to find a solution to make it where the topic content is only displayed on the first page and not on any other page. So, if I were to go to the second page of a topic, it would show the replies at the top and not the topic content.

I hope this makes sense, I was having some trouble trying to find a solution to this so didn’t really know how to word it.

I’m looking for a way to limit amount of clicks users needs to make to get to the last layer of forums.

–Whiskey
-Food
–Pasta

I’d like to display first main categories (MENU) And after opening menu forum I’d like to have all subcategories displayed in a longer list instead of having to click into Food to see pasta and Steaks. So after opening menu user sees all of this:

-Beverages
–Juices
–Whiskey
-Food
–Pasta
–Steaks

I am using bbPress v 2.6.5 with WPLMS theme and since few days ago the plugin crashes the theme by giving an error “too many redirections”

Could you please let us know how can we fix this problems.

so i finely got it to import the database for me from vB too bbPress, and it all looks like its whas going to work, but then it stuck in a loop at “8.Converting anonymous topic authors”
so i whas what the hell!, but i got all the threds and topic and users over, but then i whas noticing that all the letters that whas non-english whas off…

Sooo we are from sweden, and we got ÅÄÖ, but when i import the database thats have ÅÄÖ in it. it gets all the wrong letters and symbols.

anyone here that know what i can do?

like “ö” is not the same symbol every time i find it, its diffrens everywhere.

Hi,

When members subscribe to forum topics or request follow up emails with replies they aren’t receiving anything.
In fact, no one is receiving anything.
Where should these emails come from?
I’ve ticked the box in the settings which says allow people to subscribe
Is there something else I need to add to make them work?

When I subscribe to the forum, I do not receive a confirmation email and therefore I cannot get a password. how can i fix this?
