I have created several static pages on my site (www.wbs80.com) which is using bbpress.
I would like the static page called “Home” to be the default page seen when my site is visited.
Currently the default is the “Forum” page. How do I change this?

Hi to all; a friend of mine is having troubles with his BBPress installation, so He asked me for help.
He has got a WordPress blog with BBPress integrated.
He changed hosting. He says he simpled moved the files and the database dumps.
Now, WordPress works fine, while BBPress doesn’t logs in anyone and doesn’t let to register new users.
I tried to install a fresh installation of BBPress, and it works fine; but after that, if I try to overwrite the fresh database with the old datas, it doesn’t work again.
How can I save old topics, post etc?

PS: I’m not an english guy, so excuse me for any mistake! 
We were using simple:press but it was so slow and bloated. Our load time on pages throughout the site was 3+ seconds with simple:press installed. With bbpress, it’s 0.5 seconds or less. Thank you bbpress!

Can you still set users as Bozos in 0.9.0.4? I do not see the option now, but maybe it’s my theme.
I have an old copy of the Bozo Users plugin, but cannot find the documentation (the link is back to the bbpress.org main page) and nothing on the plugin author’s page. I don’t want to activate it if it might not play nice with 0.9.0.4.

I am with a problem in to friendly URL.
Different from the wordpress that is possible to configure the base of the URL, I didn’t find that option in the bbPress.
My problem: I installed the forum in the directory /forum
When the user clicks in a category, the address is: myblog.com/forum/forum
and I wanted to alter for myblog.com/forum/category
Is it possible, without harming the system for future updates?
My version is 0.9.0.4

I’m about ready to launch a BBpress forum version 1.0 alpha 6, that’s integrated with WP 2.7. Everything is looking good, but I’m not able to get Avatars (specifically Gravatars) to display on the BBPress side. They’re showing up perfectly on the WP 2.7 portion of the site.
I’ve tested a bunch of different combinations in the BBPress admin just to make sure that a bit wasn’t flipped the wrong way. I’ve tried all different levels of Maximum Ratings, Show Gravatars (checked/unchecked) and even played with the default images. No luck.
Anyone have any suggestions? Is this a known issue with V1.a.6 by chance?

I’m trying to figure out a way to give users the option to select from a small number of pre-set avatars (say, five or six). As the admin, I want to be able to upload the avatars then give the users a choice, but I don’t want to allow users to be able to upload their own avatars to my site.
Does anyone know if bbpress already allows this (and how to accomplish it) or if there is a plug-in out there that allows for this (if it’s something like Avatar Upload, I’d need a way to turn off general uploading and only allow the admin to do the uploading)?

Just a note, sam or whoever: _ck_ and I have been rescuing many posts per day from the akismet moderated queue. I think I just restored 6 or 8, from the past 24 hrs. This has been happening a lot most recently, maybe the last 5 days. Thanks.
I´d like to know if there´s someone out there who have the knowledge and the time to convert the great “Facebuddy” theme by Buddydress.
Not only me, thousands of users use this theme in their Blogs but the forums looks not similar.
Please help us out in this!

I’m trying to customize bbcode buttons on one of my sites (I’ll provide the link upon request for fear of offending anyone).
My questions…
I set the text color to grey and would like it to hover black. I’m not sure how to do this without a style sheet.
Also, when I click one of the buttons – this / appears beside it. How can I make that not happen?
