    @Stephen Edgar

After a week of testing I finally found the problem. I notice that when i change the user role to Editor and Administrator the editor works perfectly on both the backend and frontend. So i installed the User Role Editor plugin and checked the Unfiltered HTML setting and not everything works fine except for the fact that a message shows up for all users:

“Your account has the ability to post unrestricted HTML content.” – how can i get rid of it?

BTW…is this the best way to do it? I’m thinking it would be better to modify the way WP filters HTML instead of disabling filtering completely.

    What do you say?

Recently installed this plugin. As admin it says Your account has the ability to post unrestricted HTML content, however, after saving the post the html content doesn’t appear. I’ve been trying to save a link in a post using the html code buttons. If I just enter the link without html it appears, however, I want to use html to have the link open in a new page. What to do? My site is and the link to the plug in is in the Main Menu called Tech Support

Once I enabled the TinyMCE visual editor, the text is stripped out of for standard users. Obviously, they are not available in the default editor either. However, what is the point of implementing the enhanced editor with all these fantastic buttons, if almost none of the html tags are enabled by default.

Also, even if I deleted the function for the editor, logged in as standard user and wrote “a”-enter-“b”-enter-“c”-enter”d”-enter-“e” – the result was “abcde”. This is just simply wrong…

ATM, the only way to sort it out is to give permission to all users to write unrestricted HTML. But apparently it is dangerous and someone could write a melicious javascript in the post.

And yeah, the smilies don’t work even for the admin…

Correct. You see that warning, because you WordPress allows you to post anything you want to. Even potentially malicious JavaScript or the like. It’s a feature, and bbPress is politely reminding you of it.

Lynq is right! That warning shouldn’t show up for any of the other users unless they are admins. So there is probably no need to mess with it since you are likely the only one seeing it 😉

bbPress adds this notice in because you are an admin of the site I believe.

I am getting a warning at the beginning of each new post “Your account has the ability to post unrestricted HTML content.”. I think this is from a plugin I have on my multisite that lets folks post html content. I don’t want to show that warning. I can hide it with CSS, but then it hides other notification boxes I need. Can you tell me how I might remove this?

    Thanks so much!

I just converted from IPB to bbpress, and moved all my posts over.

Now the problem is, all posts now contains html codes, instead of showing images, making line breaks etc.

This is obviously a user permission problem, because when I post the same codes with the admin account, it shows right.

Is there any way that I can allow users unrestricted html code, just like admin has?

So on my localhost site all the moderator buttons like merge, split, close and all that work fine. on my live site they do not work…at all….Ideas?

Where can I change what html tags you are allowed to use. because for admins it said “you can use unrestricted html how ever the only html tag that works for me is em tag.

another thing that doesn’t work is the paragraph formatting…you see this post as paragraphs, how ever on my live site you would see it as one large paragraph.

Can some one give me ideas to fix these issues?
