Hello there!

I was trying to integrate a code, so other users can see the last login of any user. The integration in the admin panel worked out with a snippet, which I found in the internet, but still, I couldn’t figure it out how to show it in the profile page.

The snippet, which I used is shown underneath (can be found here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-show-users-last-login-date-in-wordpress/). I did some changes in the function wpb_lastlogin:

This code above I have in my function.php file in my child theme. Till here everything works fine. Besides BBPress I use a forum theme (Disputo), where I want to integrate the last login in the profile page of the user. Therefore I was trying to figure out a code to do so. The page (as an example, my own user page) is: https://www.denkerecke.de/benutzer/lukas/. For that I was using the user-profile.php , which is also used by the theme. I also used the code from the website, which I mentioned before:

Still, it didn’t work out. The problem is that on every user page only the last login of myself (the admin) is shown. I think its because somewhere in the code is a mistake, so not the user id of the user profile page is filtered, rather the user id of the current logged in user or the admin.

Does anyone have an idea to fix it? I would appreciate your help.

Thanks Robin. I did try it with no luck. I’ve completely reset my wp install and starting from scratch with bbpress as the first plugin. I will try data import again with a small test sample and try your plugin again.

Still stuck on this issue. Pretty frustrating. I found this from two years ago. Not the exact scenario but sounds similar enough and trying to see if this will help.

I am using BBpress on mywebsite, and I will have a couple of moderators who I want to be able to create forums from the admin system, I have used ‘User Role Editor’ and created a new user role (Moderator) and give them access to the forums, topics and replies.

The ‘topics’ and ‘replies’ show up in the admin back end system for them but not the ‘forums’ so they are unable to create new forums or sub forums.

Have I missed something from the user editor?

current_user_id should be userid as a number for logged in user.
And i would like to bring Postid to create-new-post page too..

Any ideas how it works in bbpress ?

I’m hoping someone can suggest a non-pluggin option. I currently use GD bbPress Toolbox Pro (Version 5.8.9) with bbPress. It redirects non-members at forum level, but not at topic or post level, which is what I’d like to set up.

Unfortunately not – bpress plays well with many themes, but lots of themes do their own thing, and there is no way bbpress can work out what every theme is doing with fonts. bbpress adheres to wordpress standards and conventions.

Open foundation software is free, but it replies on people adhering to conventions that can constrict a plugin or theme author, or they are ignorant of, as many of the ‘rules’ are unwritten.

I wrote style pack to help where themes do not work well with bbpress, but even then, some decide to copy css from bbpress and these then overwrite style pack.

I feel your pain, but not an easy one to fix 🙁

I have this same issue. I can see that this has been a problem for many, many years and has not been fixed. Why isn’t bbpress not picking up the size from the wptheme? It makes no sense that everything else on the website has normal font size and the forum is miniature.

This seems like an easy fix for a developer but is a real pain for people trying to figure out how all of this works, but no one seems to want to bother fixing it.

If we have to add CSS, then we have to add a child theme. I am using Astra and a templet. I have no idea where to get a child theme for that. And for something like this, should we really have to? And I really am not familiar with CSS.

I beg you, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this. This stuff is hard enough for us newbies.

…with some other plugins I already deactivated (without solcing my problem). Please let me know if you need information about them as well.

Problem: The notification within the Webpage is always just “bbp_new_reply” “sometime ago”. It is not linked/ specified.
Do you have an idea where this comes from? Maybe someone else already had such an issue?

Even when I click the notification I receive via email, it leads me to the main page only.

Ohh other plugins that was the culprit. I had installed bbPress Toolbox, which had checked an option to notify of new topics. Hopefully that was the setting causing this!

where stuff is stored is plugin specific – the plugin author decides – so you need to raise a ticket in the upload for bbpress support forum

bbpress doesn’t have ‘BB-users images’ it uses the standard avatars – are you using another plugin to achieve this ?

All media are located in the /wp-content /uploads/2019…/03…./ folder and sorted by date. It is convenient for work.
All BB-users images are uploaded to the /uploads/hm_bbpui/ folder. Available only by FTP and there are no standart edit tools.

How to sharp a redirect /uploads/hm_bbpui/ to the standart WP-library in admin area?
Is it possible without additional plugins?
