There isn’t a functions.php file in any theme, nor in kakumei and in my own theme which is based off of kakumei.

rather, ask, how great is the difference between RC3 and RC2? is it enough for there to be any incompatibility issues…? if the difference is small, than most RC2 plugins should work with RC3.

install the new RC3, which is said to have increased caching or whatever… do some testing.
dont worry about it, just saying bbpress can be configured to become a CMS replacing all the above scripts… you have done right decision choosing bbPress.

this is not a bad idea at all.. i vote for this
but the message would need to be stored somehow, even if the user is not registered or logged in, and then submitted for display once the user registers or logs in.
there is a plugin that allows you to do this, there are two i can think off
“bbVideos” – allows for people to easily embed videos from common video sharing sites.
“Admins can post anything” – allows for admins to be able to post html

my plugin plan:-
– User albums – in each profile a small image gallery of all uploaded images will be shown.
– Faviroute users – each user can follow another / bookmark a user.
– items-4-sale – users list their items for sale on their profiles.
– thumbnails for posts – so posts can be turned via themeing into a blog style post on frontpage.
so prepare for more annoying posts from me as i learn, believe it!
soon this lite forum can be turned into a social platform without the need of hefty BuddyPress
I think people should start updating the aging plugins and make them compatible with alpha.. either that or write some doc’s so’s i can do it.

the whole thing is based off the kakumei default theme, so everything should be very familiar for you too edit.
RESOLVED: You cant have two users with the same username even if you’re the super sexy admin.

I found the solution, but through google which index the forum … instead of the forums search ..
fix: [Stick topic (to front)] at the bottom of the post after posting it. gotta be admin though i think
