Hi bbPress,

I am using bbPress Version 2.6.1.1

I put this ( else return $action; ) very end/bottom of that page, also I realized there’s NO ?> at the end, so I added this ?> in and getting a WHITE PAGE? Can you tell me what am I doing wrong?

Anyhow, it say put the ” else return $action; ” at the end of the function? There are many functions, but which one or line btw? Help!

Hi everyone,

I have installed bbpress and download the es_ES translation for spanish.

The weird situation i’m experiencing is as follows:

1. In my main forum page i can see the following translations for “Forum/topic/entries/freshness”
“FORO TEMAS ENTRADAS REFRESCAR”
2. When i click on a main topic the translations are “DEBATE USUARIOS PUBLICAR ÚLTIMO MENSAJE”

I have downloaded the file bbpress-es_ES.po and nowhere is the word “REFRESCAR” which is not a proper translation of “freshness” I’ve search also for “freshness” and i can’t find that word as well…

Does anyone know if there’s any other .po file that needs to be translated? I’m doing something wrong? This is driving me crazy hehe

1. phpbb import seemed to go ok, as did the repair process, all of my phpbb forums appear correctly and so do topics and posts… however no usernames seemed to make the journey, every posts shows “anonymous” as the poster… what can i do to fix this?

2. read about the lack of avatar migration support, so what’s the best way to add the same user avatars that were used at the phpbb board, i’m guessing this is a manual process, and if so what are the steps?

hello i will like to know how to remove the following

Forum Type,Status,Visibility,and Parent Forum

I wanted to start a new topic, but didn’t see any options, and this topic is exactly what I would have said.

I imported my SMF forums to bbpress with mostly success.

2 issues (that still need to be fixed).

1) The main forums area of the forums has counted all the correct number of topics and replies, but once clicking on a Forum, at the top of the page, the #1 of topics are again, correct, but then it says a fewer amount of topics.

eg on Introduce Yourself forum –

This forum contains 8 topics and 15 replies.
Viewing 4 topics – 1 through 4 (of 4 total)

This occurred in all forums.

How to fix?

2) My forum posts (I’m admin) appears as anonymous. All other users are fine.

I am running WP 4.5.3 with BBP Version 2.5.10 and have hit a little problem.

I am sure I just missed something in the setup but I can’t seem to find it. I have started a forum with this structure:

Listings
-General
–Introductions
–General Discussion

When logged in everything displays correctly. I have a link for “Forum” with everything under that. However, when not logged in my menu bar shows

I want to override a template part in a plugin

there is a filter on bbp_get_template_part but also in the comments of template-functions.php it mentions you can also add a new location to the template stack.

Which is the best / most future proof method of these to, for example, override the loop-forums.php template part within a plugin.

I am installing fresh bbPress forums and I am stuck with the following recommendation.

Prefix all forum content with the Forum Root slug (Recommended)

I could not find a reason to why is this recommended. What happens if I do not use the prefix? I would like to keep the URLs shorter but I do not know the consequences of avoiding that prefix.

Kindly help me understand this recommendation.

Hi,
When logging in using Mozilla Fiefox, to reply to a post, i am automatically logged out before i can post anything.
exact process:
1. I receive an email saying someone has posted on the forum and i click on the link
2. I am now in the forum but i need to login to post a reply
3. I go to the main area and login
4. I go back to the post, but i notice that i am logged out as top right hand of screen there is no info.

This only happens with Mozilla. I have managed to solve this problem by clearing all cookies and cache. This is not an ideal long term solution though. Do you have any suggestions?

The person in charge of my forum would like to see the email address of the user that makes a post. Is it possible to do this without giving him full admin access to wordpress site?
