nothing is working of forum . i moved the forum, topics, replies as tools export and i imported into another site i’ve changed the url. topics are showing but the replies and post_type_reply from dashboard also not working . how to move from one site another site.i tried in localhost when i click replies in dashborad it shows apache http server stopped working. only for that post_type_reply.how to resolve? above issues?

When a member make reply in a topic and he don’t want recieve notification by mail, he always has to uncheck this notify.

How can i change this option for notification is always unchecked?

I am using the shortcode to display a single topic. When a user tries to reply to a reply to the topic, they are directed to the bottom of the page.

I want to nest replies to topics, so that users can respond directly to another user’s response. Is this possible?

I tried the js file revision suggest here but it did not create the desired effect (replying to a user’s reply is still not possible, only replies to the topic).

I have a backup of vanilla forum sql 5GB, I would like to import it in my wordpress site, I am trying to use import by bbPress, but without success, maybe the file is too large.

Unfortunately the server as OVH does not allow you to edit the php.ini or the phpmyadmin configurations.

How i can solve it?

I activated topic and reply subscriptions today, and the very first email I got was a bounce. I had written a response to someone else’s thread, and apparently, instead of sending it from my usual sending address (as specified in PostMAN SMTP: mail@domain.org) to my admin address (as specified in my profile: m@domain.org), it was sent from and to (!) this weird address: noreply@sudomain.domain.org (case is bbpress on one subdomain site of a MS network). Since I do not receive emails adressed to my subdomain, it was bounced to mail@domain.org.

Using this noreply@ does not make any sense to me, neither for sender, nor for recipient. Can anyone help? bbpress does not allow me to set a sending address, it just defined and used it. That is not good, since my SMTP plugin must have the last word in this. We all know that sending emails via PHPmailer/webserver (default WP behaviour) is unprofessional. And anyway, to send a notification to anywhere else than my profile email does not make sense. This looks very much like a bug, doesn’t it?

WP 4.6.1 (MS install w/subdomains), bbpress 2.5.11, PostMan SMTP 1.7.2, ~40 other plugins

I need to increase font-size in bbpress forum in my wordpress site. I installed the plugin Simple Custom Css and add this code

#bbpress-forums .bbp-topic-content,
#bbpress-forums .bbp-reply-content {
    font-size: 14px;
}

Nothing happened. Then I changed adding a line

#bbpress-forums .bbp-topic-content,
#bbpress-forums .bbp-reply-content {
  display: list-item !important;
    font-size: 14px;
}

Now it works, in the Staging Copy of the site. Can you confirm this is a correct code? Or this code can generate any unexpected issue somewhere?

I have 2 forums one active and 300+ members and on with just 20+ members both on xenforo.

We want to move to bbpress.
I migrated the small forum first.I followed all the documentation to import the xenforo forum.Everything went through fine but all the members got tons of notifications once the migration was complete.

Before trying to migrate the larger forum I want to know if there is a way to turn off the notifications during this process.

I have already taken the necessary steps to leave the full width of the forum across the screen, but even after putting bbpress.php inside my child theme, the space between of the sidebar and the forum is not in full width

Hi, I haven’t downloaded BBPress yet but I had one question about the forum capability that I couldn’t find an answer to. We will be using BBPress as forum for an LMS (LearnDash). Will students be able to reply by/receive posts by email, or will they have to go to the forum to read and respond to posts?
