I get this issue no matter what, regardless of who I’m logged in as. It’s not an issue of trying to post too fast. This will happen if you’ve never posted at all. Tried with different users, different browsers. And I’ve tried setting the throttle to 60s, 30s, and 10s.

I cannot access forum replies at all in the back end. In the admin panel I can see forums, topic, replies. The first two work great, and I can add a new reply from the back end, but the “all replies” part takes me to a 404 page. The url looks like this: …/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=reply

How do I alter the text that appears under the users avatar?

Like on this forum, you see the username, their member role, their @name, and when the posted the topic/comment.

On the forum I’m trying to create I can only see username and member role.

Sorry, I have tried to search ore this but I don’t even know what its called. I’ve looked through lots of threads but not found it.

Also, the ‘bbp-topic-started-by’ that you have here, where do I paste that on my forum to activate that feature?

Using bbpress registration for my forum, can anyone–including people without any wordpress account–register?

I would assume so and hope so, but I saw that this bbpress-powered forum requires a wordpress account for registration.

I’m having 2 issues with the same page.

1. When I click a topic to read it, the page title shows up as “topics” instead of the title of the topic. I have figured out how to get the topic title there but can’t figure out how to get rid of topics. I only want it gone for all the single topic pages and not every page.

2. I can’t figure out how to center that same sigle topic page.

We’ve got a demo set-up running a site that uses both bbpress and memberpress. We’re pretty close to being able to move this to the production site, but in running through what a user/member would be experiencing, we noticed that logged-in users are able to view the forum (we have one forum, many topics) just fine. They/we can click on another user’s name that is linked to their bbpress profile — and we can edit another person’s profile details.

Memberpress told me to use a rule to restrict access, but I don’t see how to block it unless the Edit portion on a profile page is a specially named post? I’ve tried and don’t seem able to block it. They are unable to tell me what else to do.

Hi. I recently installed BBPress and was surprised the latest version for installation was 2.5.14. I also get a notice that the plugin “has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”

Is BBPress being maintained? What is the expected timing for 2.6?

Performance/speed is important to me, and last I looked into it 2.6 was supposed to be a big improvement.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to successfully import Kunena 5? Currently only Kunena 3 supported.

I was wondering whether it might be possible using another forum as a middle step.

And if the import into bbPress is achieved, will users be able to set a new password since the old Kunena one probably won’t work?

In the latest version 2.6 RC7, If a post goes to status=pending the author directly gets 404 page.

example.com/forum/?post_type=topic&p=xxxxx is directed to 404 page.

I use moderation tools plugin and when a user submits a topic, the user sees directly a 404 page due to the problem above.

This is not related to other plugins or theme.
My test environment is version: 2.6 RC5 and there it’s working fine. Authors can see their pending posts.
