MU wordpress 2.6.1 + bbpress 0.9.0.2

Hello, I read the forums but I have not found a solution.

My wp-config.php is:

<?php

/* Don’t try to create this file by hand. Read the README.txt and run the installer. */

// ** MySQL settings ** //

define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘sito’); // The name of the database

define(‘DB_USER’, ‘root’); // Your MySQL username

define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);

define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

define(‘VHOST’, ‘no’);

$base = ‘/sito/’;

define(‘COOKIE_DOMAIN’, ”);

define(‘COOKIEPATH’, ‘/sito/’);

// Change each KEY to a different unique phrase. You won’t have to remember the phrases later,

// so make them long and complicated. You can visit https://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/

// If you are running multiple bbPress installations in a single database,

// you will probably want to change this.

$bb_table_prefix = ‘bb_’; // Only letters, numbers and underscores please!

// Change this to localize bbPress. A corresponding MO file for the

// chosen language must be installed to bb-includes/languages.

define(‘BB_LANG’, ”);

/* Stop editing */

if ( !defined(‘BB_PATH’) )

define(‘BB_PATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/’ );

require_once( BB_PATH . ‘bb-settings.php’ );

?>

Why if I access at bbpress (login) I don’t access at WordPress MU?

This is a problem of “cookie”, ok… but you can fix it?

Is there a new plugin?

Will be solved by bbpress 1.0?

Thank you

get_user_profile_link bug?

Published on September 28th, 2008 by akor

Hello,

I’m writing some plugin for rewriting url for user’s profiles.

I have some code:

add_filter('get_user_profile_link', 'ss_get_user_profile_link');

function ss_get_user_profile_link($link, $id = 0) {

$user = bb_get_user(bb_get_user_id($id));

$r = bb_get_option(‘uri’) . ‘profile:’ . $user->user_nicename;

return $r;

}

When ss_get_user_profile_link get control, there is $id = 0 always. Why?

Thanks.

Racing News Digest

Published on September 28th, 2008 by Michael Pratt

I am still working on it, but I have for the most part completed my integration for WP and BB.

You can see it at http://racingnewsdigest.com.

I am actually hosting this currently on a subdomain at http://racingnews.ryannewmaninfo.info and the forums are at http://racingnews.ryannewmaninfo.info/forum.

Started out as a “fun project” and now I have to move everything to the first URL listed…….FUN!!

If you login you will see that I have kind of created a user console in the upper right corner of the forum. I have the theme switcher along with edit profile, send new PM and everything up there.

I only have a couple of theme selections at the moment but am working on NASCAR Driver (and other racing series) specific themes.

Not a flashy site or anything. The main theme is from Kakumei and so are the other available one. But the site it’s self is simple so that works.

If you’re into racing…..come help get the conversation going.

How to change your avatar?

How can a user change their avatar on a new bbPress installation?

I failed to find options for this :-/

Plugin suggestions

Published on September 27th, 2008 by

I haven’t found such topic, and I think it might be useful (if no, please throw me into oblivion heh). Do you need some additional functionality but you can’t find a plugin and you can’t code? Post ideas here, maybe someone will “code your idea”.

Post and topic status

Published on September 27th, 2008 by wiseacre

I have 2 questions.

Question 1:

What is the semantic of the following fields in the database

bb_topics.topic_status

bb_posts.post_status

Is it safe delete all posts and topics withs status > 0 ?

Question 2:

Are there any rows in bb_topicmeta for topics with topic_status > 0 ?

Site url changed and locked out of admin area

Published on September 26th, 2008 by

bbpress version 0.9.0.2

Operating System: Linux Hosting

Configuration: 2.0

PHP Version: 5.x

I was trying to change the url of my bbpress forum because it was loading from the preview site that GoDaddy gave me before I made it live. In doing so I effectively locked myself out of the admin area and redirected all of the content. Is there a php file that I can re-upload to counter the changes I made or do I need to talk to my server host? The error message I get when I click on a topic or category is that safari can’t find the content on the server, I then set the url to the url I last changed it to and get the message “No input file specified.”

Take a look at www.truediy.com if you want to see what I am talking about.

Thanks!

Show Forum, But Disallow Access

Published on September 26th, 2008 by

I’m using the Hidden Forum plugin, but want to know if there is a way to still show the forum, but not allow access. I want people to see that there are parts of the forum they cannot access unless they sign up for paid forum support.

Regarding Trunk Releases and Installation

Published on September 26th, 2008 by

Hello there.

I’m eager to try out some of Sam’s Trunk Releases on my site, but I keep running into installation issues. Since I’m new to these kind of test releases, it might just be a simple misunderstanding on my part though.

In a nutshell, what I did is download the latest trunk, add a backpress release and try to install as usual.

Well, after changing bb-config-sample.php into bb-config.php in step 1 the installer will just blank out on the following steps.

Are these Releases not supposed to support the installer at this point?

Thanks

Rob
