Edited post stick at the end…

Published on September 4th, 2013 by ikalogic

Hi!

I am using latest bbpress 2.4

I have a problem: If i have .. say .. 10 posts in a topic, and i edit the 5th post. When i do that, the 5th post jumps to the last position, 10th. What’s worse, is that i will stay at the last position, even if i post other posts. The edited post will always appear as last, even though it’s not the case.

Any idea how can i prevent edited posts from being “resorted” all together?

Thank you very much,

Unsharp profile picture if you don't use Gravatar

Published on September 4th, 2013 by Thorsten :-)

Hi guys,

My problem is that users who uploaded their profile picture via BuddyPress (v1.6.4) have an unsharp profile picture in bbPress (v2.4) see my screenshot http://www.screencast.com/t/kb74tQYLl9gr

All users who registered with an Email of Gravatar, the profile picture looks sharp.

How to solve this issue?

Regards,
Thorsten

Unable to change to or create private/hidden forums

Published on September 4th, 2013 by Anand

I don’t know it is a bug or I did something wrong but after updating my local and live bbPress installation. I am unable to change a public forum to private. Even i am unable to create a new private forums.

While creating private forum, It automatically changes to public forums. I guess there might be some issue with the dropdown menu.

[Also, a private forum can’t be turned into public]

"New Thread" & "New Reply" Buttons

Published on September 4th, 2013 by Nykess

Hello,

I would like to add a “New Thread” and “New Reply” button that simply link to a link id at the bottom of the page where the “new topic” and “new reply” fields are located. When users click on these buttons, it will jump the page down to the specified link id.

These should be easy to add, but I don’t know where to make the edits.

Thanks.

Keeping menu link in active state

Published on September 3rd, 2013 by Nick Galgay

Hello I am running the latest version of wordpress and bbpress, I am new to both of the aforementioned products. I have added a header link to my site that looks like

<?php if (is_page(‘Forums’)) { echo ” class=\”current_page_item\””; } ?>

That code works everywhere on my site except for bbpress. Can someone please tell me how to set my header link, and keep it, in the active state when on the forums? I’ve looked on this site and searched google to no avail.

Thanks alot.

2.4 breaks WordPress sites. Pages no longer load!

Published on September 3rd, 2013 by logicbit

Installed latest from add new. Now website or admin panel does not load.
After clicking activate plugin this URL is displayed and hangs. Nothing but a white screen.
http://houdiniesq.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=

Had to remove bbPress folder from plugin directory in order to get our site back up.
Tried manual install of plugin but same thing.
We are using the FLexForm by swiftIdes ver 1.5 theme which is great and works wonderfully.

Installation wrecks WordPress site!

Single Forum Shortcode not displaying forum?

Published on September 3rd, 2013 by dot

WordPress 3.6, using theme Twenty Eleven
BbPress 2.4 (Just updated this morning, though I had the problem with the previous version as well)
Only other active plugin: Error Log Dashboard Widget 1.0.2 (showing no PHP errors)
Several other plugins are installed, but deactivated while trying to debug this issue.

I have the following text on a single page:

Here is the shortcode for the single forum: [ bbp-single-forum id=39 ]

Here is the shortcode for all forums: [ bbp-forum-index ]

The single forum does not display. The forum index does display. I have confirmed that the index is the correct number via the admin forum view. Here is a link to a screenshot. Here is the link from the forum page, showing the forum id: http://[domainremoved].org/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php?post=39&action=edit (Obviously, clicking it won’t work, because it requires a log-in, but this is to confirm that I’m finding the forum index correctly.)

Here is the forum: http://[domainremoved].org/forums/forum/pta-board/
Here is the page it is linked from, showing where the shortcodes do not work: http://[domainremoved].org/pta-board-2/
(Note: I have added spaces between the shortcodes so you can see the text that I used, then repeated the shortcodes without the spaces to display the forums.)

I feel like this should be some really simple user error, but given that I have double-checked the shortcode syntax and the forum id, deactivated all other plugins, and chosen the Twenty Eleven theme, I can’t figure out what it could be.

ETA: Wow, that was fast— my page got slammed with spam comments within minutes of posting the links here. I have removed them for now. If a support person needs them to diagnose the issue, I can give them out then.

Another Genesis issue

Hi guys,

Just updated to 2.4 and the archive page for the forums is now not showing the forum at all. Check out what is supposed to be my archive for forums.
