Topic: Limiting daily user time
hello all
I am enjoying working with wordpress/bbpress/s2member on a new website.
I would like to limit all users time, except for admin, to 1 hour per day.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Hi,
I have a new installation of WP/Buddypress that I’ve installed and I have a question regarding Group Forums. For some reason I am not seeing the “Notify me of follow-up replies via e-mail” checkbox that should appear below the “tags” option as seen in these forums as well as here:
http://mercime.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/bp-forums-19.gif
Driving me nuts. Is there a way to turn this feature on? What am I missing?
I am having trouble with running bbPress 2.2.4 and BuddyPress 1.6.4 on the Custom Community 1.14 theme with WordPress 3.5.1 . I have disabled all other plugins and rebuilt permalinks to different structures, to no avail.
The site is http://www.surprisecommunity.com
When my registered users click “Submit” to enter a topic or a reply, an error page results. It seems that there is some conflict in the slug/permalink configuration. The new topic/reply will post but not before the user is shown a page like this:`

The document has moved here.Additionally, a 302 Found
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Those who (like me) have recently upgraded from the bbpress standalone version to the plugin version of bbpress, will be glad to know that Arne Branchold’s WordPress plugin “Google XML Sitemaps”, has the ability to include your bbpress forum posts into your xml sitemap. You can download the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/
I’ve been using this plugin for years so I was glad to find this option. It took me a few days to figure this out, so I thought I would share this info in case there are others wondering about a way to include your posts into your wordpress sitemap.
Go to Settings -> XML-Sitemap. Under sitemap content -> Custom Post Types: select “Include custom post type Forums” and “Include custom post type Topics”. Then update options from the bottom and click on “rebuild the sitemap manually” from the top to update your sitemap. If you have a google webmaster tools account, you can now resubmit your sitemap to google.
Hello,
Wondering if anybody has experience with the “404 Redirected” wordpress plugin?
When this 404 plugin is enabled I cannot use the front end forum/reply editing feature.
This URL http://ultimateclientmanager.com/topic/add-an-other-taxe/edit/ simply redirects to this url http://ultimateclientmanager.com/topic/add-an-other-taxe/
bbPress 2.2.4 and WordPress 3.5.1
Does anybody know why the 404 plugin is identifying this URL as a 404 and doing the redirect?
Thanks,
DaveI have a website which has many accounts (Say A, B, C, D). Now suppose I have selected account “A” and navigates to various pages from 1->2->3 and so on.
Say I am on page 3 (for Account “A”), now I want to switch my account from “A” to “B”, but want to remain on Page 3.
What is currently happening in my wordpress site, when I switch the accounts (be it on any page), I am always redirected to my site’s Homepage.
I want even if I am switching account, I want to remain on same page of my website.
Can someone please help me on the same!!Let me share a snap of the same. As per the first snapshot (Snap_one.png), I am currently under Manage Project page (Logged in as Admin) for Account ThingieMcThingie (encircled in yellow).
Now, when I switch the account from ThingieMcThingie to some other (The Poke – for example), I am redirected to my website’s homepage itself.
The Account has been switched successfully, but I am redirected to my Homepage(or Dashboard Page).

What I want is, when I switch the accounts, I should remain at the same page (My Projects in above example).
Snap_One – When I am Logged in as Admin under My Projects page for ThingieMcThingie account
Snap_Two – When I am switching account from ThingieMcThingie to The Poke.
Snap_Three – When I have switched my account from ThingieMcThingie to The Poke. The Page is redirected from My Projects to Homepage (Dashboard Page)
Thanks
TarunTopic: Redirects back to Post
Hi there,
I installed bbpress for a Service and Therapy Dog programs for certain Therapy Volunteer members to communicate with each other in this type of forum. I’m tightening up the nuts and bolt on this forum, but one of the members has point on a matter.
This is what she (Heather a.k.a. mheather54) said,
“.…i can go straight to the post from my email link (email notification), i still need to log in if i want to post (which is a good thing), but it would be nice if, when i log in, it redirects me back to the post i was reading, or at least to the therapy volunteer forum. instead, it takes me all the way out to my word press profile.“
Reply link to T.V. member mheather54: http://pawsteams.org/tv-forum/forums/topic/forum-placement/#post-95
Is there a way that I can re-direct the user back to the post when they log-in to reply to topic??? Also, I noticed that when I log-in, it sends me to my dashboard instead of the actual forum.
What I have running under the hood of WP:
- WP version 3.5.1
- bbPress version 2.2.4
WP Theme: Twenty Twelve version 1.1
WP Plugins that are active:
- Akismet version 2.5.7
- bbPress version 2.2.4
- bbPress Notify version 0.2.1
- Captcha Code version 2.1
- Hello Dolly version 1.6
- Login LockDown version 1.5
- Ultimate TinyMCE (free) version 4.1
- WordPress Importer 0.6
Here’s the link to the landing page: http://pawsteams.org/tv-forum/
I would greatly appreciate your help! 🙂
Warmest Regards,

Topic: Forum Dashboard problem
Hi everyone
I’ve bee banging my head for a couple of days with my bbpress forum. There is a problem with the sidebar on the forum page as you can see here http://tricksforaffiliates.com/?post_type=forum . The sidebar location is before the main page instead of next to it. It works ok everywhere else.
I’ve tried to find where the problem lies. At first I called the forum via a page with the link to option and could remove the sidebar from page.php but of course that made it disappear everywhere else too. I checked the bbpress php files and usually appears before the footer call not after header. I don’t know if that tells me anything.
I also tried finding something with firebug but to no avail. I am able to remove the dash and the page looks ok, but the problem is cause I can’t figure out which document the code refers to and don’t know where to search for a problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
