Thank and that very kind of you, Mr Robin.
In addition, as the 2025 WordPress block theme has other problems with your “bbp style pack” plugin, if it is possible for you to check and fix them.
These are:
1- When the bbp style pack plugin is active and you go to the theme editor section and click on Show all templates, only one template is displayed, not all templates that can be selected. The problem is solved by disabling the plugin.
2- In the Topic/Reply Form plugin tab, in section 18. Limit Topic Tags to a list, when this option is activated and you refresh the site, at the same time and a little later it causes the editor section to go to the bottom right and the forum template to be broken.
3- In the Topic/Reply Form plugin tab, in section 10. Topic Posting Rules, when the visual editor is activated, HTML codes are also inserted into the text, while this should not be the case.
4- When the sidebar is activated for the forum through the bbp style pack plugin block or by ourselves, this sidebar is only displayed on the first page of the forum or the forum index, but is not displayed on the pages of subforums and topics, while like the classic template, it should be displayed on all sidebar pages.
Thanks in advance.
Issue: bbPress User Roles and Hidden BuddyPress Group Forums
I’ve encountered a problem where bbPress user roles cannot be edited, which creates a conflict when using bbPress forums within hidden BuddyPress Groups.
The Problem:
Members of hidden BuddyPress Groups can read the associated group forums but cannot post.
The rest of BuddyPress and bbPress functionality works as expected, but this limitation seems to stem from the bbPress Participant role.
What I’ve Tried:
I attempted to modify the Participant role using the Members plugin, but bbPress roles appear to be non-editable.
According to a support topic on Members, this restriction was recently enforced by bbPress.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/members-plugin-unable-to-edit-bbpress-plugin-roles/
Question:
Does anyone know how to override or adjust bbPress roles?

I am a beginner in wordpress and bbPress so less familiar with PHP code.
If it’s possible, send here the required code to paste in the “WPCode plugin” to generate the direct link to user’s profile in bbPress.
Of course, I’m using your plugin but the shortcut [bsp-profile label=”Edit My Profile” edit=”true”] works in the site’s footer but doesn’t work in the forum footer.
When I reply to a topic in bbpress, it gets counted as a “post” when a visitor views the site. Is it possible to make it count as a “Voice”?
I think the correct answer is “Replies” and not “Voices”, but what do you think?
When I look at the administration screen, the topic with the reply is counted as a “Replies”, but when I look at the site from the visitor’s side, it is counted as a “post”, and the number is the total number of posts in the topic (+1).
If someone could tell me, it would be helpful.
Also, why does it say “This topic is empty” when I open a topic?
That’s all, thank you in advance.
Usage environment
WordPress 6.5.5 running Twenty Twenty-One theme.
bbPress Version 2.6.11 (Only one plugin is needed)
PHP version 8.2.22

Thanks for your reply Mr. Robin.
but I don’t want to use plugins for that.
I’m looking for the link of the user profile in bbPress
like This:
https://example.com/wp-admin/profile.php
for WordPress user profile.
Install
bbp style pack
once activated go to
dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>shortcodes
and look at ‘Display profile link’ for how to use the shortcode.
Then simply add the shortcode using a ‘shortcode’ block wherever you want it

Hello
I have a site with WordPress block theme 2025 and create forum by bbPress in it.
I need a Edit profile link of user in bbPress to put it in the menu or footer so user can access his bbPress profile not WordPress profile.
Can someone help me.
Thanks before
Yes there is a WordPress page called “forums”
(The page title is “Personal Ads & Forum” but when clicked the URL is mydomain/forums)
Twenty Sixteen theme.
so you have no WordPress page called ‘forums’ ?
and what theme are you using?
sounds like a wordpress rather than bbpress issue.
The first thing I would do is install wordfence, and get it to notify you whenever an admin logs on, and possibly also when a non admin logs on
wordfence>all options>email alert
I’d also run a scan to see if wordfence detects any issues with themes plugins and files
I’d then switch on brute force protection to lock out repeated attempts
wordfence>all options>brute force protection
This might help you work out when and how.
how many users do you have? how many are admins? how many are moderators?
If you install
bbp style pack
then this has a fix for the buddypress errors
Hi,
Spammers are able to add pingbacks to my forum even though this is disallowed (in blog settings). So they are not logged-in users who are adding spam comments to a topic, but they are externally able to “comment” on the forum itself.
My site is a dating site, so has a sub forum “Personals”
The URL takes the form …
domain/forums/forum/personals
They can add pingbacks to this “Personals” sub-forum which display below (ie. outside) the forum as, for example …
“3 Thoughts on Personals” :
Pingback: (spam link)
Pingback: (spam link)
Pingback: (spam link)
Any help would be appreciated in solving this.
It’s not a new issue, has been on my site for several years.
bbpress 2.6.9
wordpress 6.0.9
buddypress 10.6.4
ok, so that error tells you it is a problem with the plugin gd-topic-polls
'call to undefined method xxxx in ...public_html/wp-content/plugins/gd-topic-polls'
That plugin is not written by bbpress and
GD Topic Polls: plugin for WordPress and bbPress Forums
says that the free version it is no longer being maintained.
There is a paid version at
https://www.dev4press.com/plugins/gd-topic-polls/
and if you have bought that version, then you need to raise a support ticket with them.
If you have the free version, then if you want to continue to use this plugin, you would need to buy the paid version
many sites will not wish you to even know that the topic exists, so throwing a 404 error is the default way.
You can set where to send private topics using
bbp style pack
once activated go to
dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Subscription Emails item 2
Until the bbpress authors (basically WordPress who own bbpress) decide to support block themes, then style pack is the only way i have come across.
Hi
I’m using BBPress with BuddyPress in a WordPress site with MicroOffice theme. We’ve notice recently that the BuddyPress Activity Feed is no longer updating when someone Favourites a Forum post inf BBPress. I’ve tried turning off all other plugins to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
When I add a post to one of our forums (and press submit) it looks like it hasn’t uploaded but if you open another tab with the same forum in it – the new post is there. Do you know why this would be happening? It does mean that we sometimes get duplicate posts. We are also using MemberPress (if that’s relevant). Many thanks
WordPress version: 6.6.2
bbPress version: 2.6.11

Hi, enjoy your meal if you’re still in your kitchen :).
After exporting everything and doing a fresh install I installed WP then the theme then bbpress it was OK.
I then imported everything with the wordpress tool it’s OK.
Hello, I would like to prevent the creation of a forum with an existing name on BBpress, I do use it on my wordpress project. The forum is create on the admin panel.
Thanks for your help
We had a PHPBB many years ago, which we migrated to bbPress around four years ago, but it seems some flags remained in the database for the whole time, flags like (_bbp_class, _bbp_old_user_id, _bbp_password, _bbp_phpbb_user_avatar, _bbp_phpbb_user_sig). They might be needed; I have no idea.
But after the last update of WP and all the plugins, all the migrated users started to get an error message instead of being able to log in:
`
{“success”:false,”data”:[{“code”:”bbp_converter_db_connection_failed”,”message”:”Database connection failed”}]}
`
After some debugging and searching, I found https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3419#no0 and tried to remove _bbp_class, which helped 🙂
I just needed to wipe the SQLite Object Cache because it kept the old data. It might happen to someone else in the future, I don’t know. I don’t know if you can somehow influence that this metadata is not stored there or something else. But at least you have the information that it might happen.
I have the plugin BBpress that allow me to create a forum on the admin panel on wordpress, the form is basic I just have to tape a name and pusblished it. Forum > Add new > tape the name > published and my forum is create. I also have a taxonomy forum that is linked to the user for that I do use the plugin User Taxonomy & Directory.
there are options for ‘submitting’ and a spinner in
bbp style pack
once activated go to
dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>Topic/Reply Form>option 5
