Is there a plugin or a method I can use to disable topic creation on a certain forum? I want to have a news forum for all my news posts and only allow comments on the topics I create, but not allow any topics to be created by anyone else. I do want users to be able to create topics in my other forums though. I noticed that turning the forum into a category kind of adds that ability, but then it removes the news forum for the forum page, which I don’t want.

I’ve been searching plugins and forums for the last couple hours without much luck. Any plugins that I’ve found that did this are way outdated and don’t seem to work correctly with new versions. I am using the newest version of wordpress and bbpress and in the middle of building a new theme from the ground up. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

Hi, I’m a WP/bbpress newbie with some technical background who recently joined a collective blog. I am trying to work through our current list of open bugs right now.

We have an issue where when a user logs into our forums via the the “login” page/link, they are logged in but re-directed out to the site landing page, rather than the forum landing page, as expected.

Is there a setting that I can configure or a variable that I need to change the value of somewhere so that users get the expected behavior when logging in to our forums?

I am looking for a plugin that does something like tapatalk

I want all content in a single stream with a reply button. I don’t want to have to search and look in every forum. I just want every post in order from teh last 24 hours in a stream…..topics and replies in order they came in….so I can batch process my replying right there. no clicking to forums.

Is there a plugin desinged to do anything like this?

in the website of one of my customers, bbpress works perfectly if the user is not logged in but, when I am logged as wordpress admin, the pages of the bbpress forum are not visibile and show a 500 error. The error-log file shows this error:

I have Bbpress with buddypress. The forum groups are correct.The problem is with the subforums, to leave the group access, Forum to get away, not to see menus, or where the user is located. As to correct this?

I wish subforum structure is the same as that of the forum

Hello all, i’m new user of bbpress plugin. So after installation and set up configuration of plugin, i get a error ERREUR: Êtes-vous sûr de vouloir faire ça ? in english it’s : ERROR : Are you sure to do that ? when i want to post Topics or Replies since my front-end whatever the user. But in my back-end it’s alright i can create topics, replies.

Please can you help me ?

I’ve been having issues with my BuddyPress/bbPress features not displaying on the site, since I customized my theme (Nictitate by Kopatheme). Today, I cannot even access the wp-admin login page or the dashboard via any page, and therefore cannot edit my site, as you must be logged in to create content. No error or 404 message comes up on the page, rather, it says “Log In” at the top of the page but has no fields to enter username and password.

Other troubleshooting threads recommend turning off certain plug-ins, but I can’t do any of these things without access to the dashboard. I fear it’s something to do with theme customization. The other BuddyPress generated pages behave the same way. They show up in the site menu, but have no content on the page other than the title. Please help!

After typing in “www.myharbors.com/wp-admin/” which is how I have always logged into the dashboard before.

WordPress 4.2.2 running Make theme. bbPress Version 2.5.7
The site is in countdown mode, so there’s nothing to see there. But I created a forums page using the permalink method and it works well, except I can’t seem to get rid of the useless and annoying empty author mark. Can anyone help?
