I’ve been having issues with my BuddyPress/bbPress features not displaying on the site, since I customized my theme (Nictitate by Kopatheme). Today, I cannot even access the wp-admin login page or the dashboard via any page, and therefore cannot edit my site, as you must be logged in to create content. No error or 404 message comes up on the page, rather, it says “Log In” at the top of the page but has no fields to enter username and password.

Other troubleshooting threads recommend turning off certain plug-ins, but I can’t do any of these things without access to the dashboard. I fear it’s something to do with theme customization. The other BuddyPress generated pages behave the same way. They show up in the site menu, but have no content on the page other than the title. Please help!

After typing in “www.myharbors.com/wp-admin/” which is how I have always logged into the dashboard before.

If you want to temporarily disable a plugin(s) or custom theme you can access your site via FTP and move the folders (don’t delete!) out of their respective places. This will disable the plugin/set WordPress to use the default theme.

Then you should at least be able to login to your dashboard.
