Hi there,

I would like to enable a feature whereby I can edit a user’s total post count and topic count. I have created a new forum and many members have come from another now-closed forum, and I would like to edit their post and topic count to reflect their counts on the previous site.

Is there a plugin that does this? Been looking but can’t find.

I’m setting a news section on my frontpage using the plugin ‘Posts in Sidebar’ which can filter and display topics (with excerpts) by forums and taxonomy. I want to be able to manually mark selected topics as featured (to be displayed on frontage). What is the best practice to do this?

The easiest way to do this seems to use tags. Say: display on frontage every topic tagged ‘featured’. But how can I limit access to the ‘featured’ tag to admins only, so only admins can set topics as featured?

Maybe there is a way to set a custom checkbox ‘featured’ to the topic post type to filter the featured posts which will be accessible by admins only?

Any other ideas? Can you, please, recommend a best way to mark several topics to be included in frontpage?

I’m not receiving emails for new topics. I have tried everything. Disabled plugins, checked and am not using noreply@… I’ve checked and changed the settings one by one. Still can’t get anything.

Set up another account with another email to test with. Sometimes, only sometimes I will get an email from the other account if they start a new topic. But if I (as admin) start a new topic, the other account doesn’t get an email and neither do I.

Notifications of emails to and from that account work fine.

I have bbpress installed and I’m using it having forums inside a group. My problem is that the title of a single topics seems like “Group | Webpage”. How can I like this forums? To show: “This is a topic | Webpage” or “This is a topic | Group | Webpage”

Several months ago I tried to import a phpbb 3.1 forum into bbpress. Sadly it didn’t work. It was frustrating because the description says it works. It would be very beneficial to have version numbers and dates associated with anything associated with bbpress, including importers. Otherwise it’s a constant source of frustration downloading, trying, failing. No need to have done so in the first place if the version number was already a part. Thanks for the consideration.

I’m using bbPress 2.5.8 with theme Twenty Sixteen (WP 4.4.2). Accidentally I noticed, that when viewing topic on a devices with small screen (less than 414×736) all of the author avatars are sliding to the upper left. Here is a screenshot:

I tried to install bbPress on a fresh WP install and the avatar does not seems to slide, when viewing in small screens. So, I deactivated all the plugins, removed all known theme modifications, css styles, but avatar is still misplaced.

I have bbpress with buddypress and when someone post in the forum, its shows in the activity steam. It is very weird when the reply is very long so I would like to set a exceprt o forums reply in buddypress activity.

I need to override the default CSS color for
.bbp-topics-front ul.super-sticky, .bbp-topics ul.super-sticky, .bbp-topics ul.sticky, .bbp-forum-content ul.sticky

But the default color declaration has an !important in it. What’s the best way to fix this so my color will display? I know I could hack the plugin CSS, but that’s not the best option. 🙂

Notice: bbp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is being initialized without using $wp->init(). in /path/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3787

I am using Simple Membership and BuddyPress in addition to bbPress so i imagine this is an integration issue. Is there a way to resolve it?

I have a WordPress/BuddyPress/bbPress installation.

I have noticed that in all activity coming from the blog ow the social network functionality of BuddyPress, the user name displayed is the one filled bythe user during registration as the on e to be shown in the community.

On the other hand, in bbPress forums and in the activity stream related to the forums, the user name displayed is the login required name of the user.

Is there a way to sync these and display in bbPress the “community name” too?
