Hello,
I am trying to setup my forums so that moderators can create forums on the front end of the website without having to login to wordpress with admid aka Least Privilege Rule.
However Ive exhausted many different potential solutions with no fix including:
-Modifying the Roles and verifying the ability to Publish Forums
-Granting Users the Moderator Privilege as well as making test Users for trialing
I cant imagine im the only one with this issue however I cannot find similar topics previously posted on here or google with the answers im looking for.
My URL is gamingcommunity.us

Hi all,
On my forum home page, the breadcrumb is showing as ‘Forums › Forums’.
Does anyone know if there is a way to hide this just on the main page or if there is some function I could use or adapt to not show it or show some other ‘Welcome’ text.

Hello
Does anyone know how I can make it so that people can post new topics and replies without the need to enter a name, email and website (i.e. those three boxes are removed)?
Thanks very much

I am trying to find an easy way to duplicate forums and the subforums/categories underneath of them. The scenario is I have a forum with multiple categories, subforums, and subforums in those categories. So the hierarchy looks like this:
Parent Forum
-Child Subforum
-Category
–Grandchild Subforum
I need a way to essentially duplicate the entire hierarchy while only changing the parent. In the meantime, I would need all of the children and grandchildren to inherit the new parent. So when it’s duplicated:
forum 1/category 1/grandchild 1 –> forum 2/category1/grandchild 1
I found that the plugin WP Bulk Posts Duplicator can duplicate all of the forums, but it does not allow for modifying the parent forum and you are not able to specify which forums you want to duplicate (I don’t need to make copies of every forum).
With that being said, is there any way to duplicate a forum and only change the parent, or to have a forum template that has a complete hierarchy that you set up and can mass produce?
Thanks!

I have done a lot of searching on this topic, and it seems that everyone wants to get rid of duplicate post titles. Apparently this is something bbPress now does by default (blocking posts with the same title).
We, however, need to allow them, because we have posts on the same topics that are only separated by time. It’s become very frustrating, with people having to put junk characters in their titles just to get a post to work, and never knowing which ones are going to work.
Is it possible to allow a forum to contain separate threads with the same title?
(We have not changed the default bbPress settings with regard to url slugs and so forth.)

Hi All,
After configuring the importing form and clicking the start button, a failure message appears after amount of time;
Unknown column 'forums.forum_topics' in 'field list'
After clicking again on the start button only the reactions will be converted from phpBB to bbpress.
How can I import the topics and users properly, without encounter these failures?
Grtz.

Hello I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it.
A topic on my forum has reached over 1000 replies. When it went over 1000 this is when the issue began.
So when a new reply is added and submitted to the topic the user is then taken to page 1 of the thread when they should have been taken to the last page of the thread.
Any ideas on why this happening or how to fix it please?
Thank you
Tom

Hi everyone, loving bbpress but running into a roadblock. A client has chosen a theme that fits their site really well, and comes with a phpbb skin, but no bbpress theme. Is there a way to either
A: Easily implement the phpbb theme
OR
B: Through some plugin, allow bbpress to use a theme different from the main WP install
Thanks

I have my bbpress set to require users to be logged in to post to the forum. So when they try to create a topic when not logged in, they get the mesage: You must be logged in to create new topics.
It would be great to have a link there for them to log in or register. I have that those links in my top bar (and sidebar for now), but it seems intuitive that when a user is told they must be logged in to post a topic that they would also be presented the option to login or register, but there is not there. See https://preachnet.com/discussions/forum/church-administration/
So how can I add that link there? Is there a bbpress option I am missing, or a plugin, or do I have to edit a page template?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Rob

How do we create the bar above the forum and just under the header that has the Topic Creations button and the drop down Login widget that is used on bbpress.org/forums?
