WordPress v. 5.2.1; bbpress v. 2.5.14
I would like to change my “bbpress forum” to another name so that it does not show up as “bbpress Forum” or Just “Forum” in my users profiles or elsewhere. I have seen several dated suggestions of how to do this but none have worked.
I did not find any help here using the search option. So if this is a repeat question, Please accept my apologies and kindly direct me to the codex or other potentially successful answer.
Thank you.
I have a fully functional forum that I’ve been using since November of 2018. I have it set to allow 20 replies per page.
When you reply to something in the forum, after posting your reply, you’d like to continue reading where you left off, however, it always takes you to the last page in the forum. That’s annoying, but tolerable. However…
If you’re the 19th or 20th post on the page, it takes you to a blank page, which then requires you to reload the last page and scroll all of the way down to continue reading. This drives my members insane!
Can I fix this?
Our forums are private and require logging into a customer portal to access them.
How do I customise the email notification to explain more fully to users that they MUST log in to view the new topics or replies. Currently they just get a Page Not Found when they click on the forum link in the email. Ideally I’d like to add a link in the email that takes the user to the Portal Login Page.
Thanking you for any assistance.

Problem persists in Themes twenty seventeen, boss, and donovan.
Just set up bbPress yesterday and having a few issues. (should I make a different topic for each?)
When I make a post, it does not show up on the forum until I log out and log back in. I have tried it with my admin account, test account, chrome, firefox, and explorer. I changed themes (twenty seventeen, boss, and donovan) and the problem is the same.
Also, I just noticed the post list is not updating. It will say, for example, last post 34 seconds ago… refresh, go to the blog and back to the forum – still 34 seconds ago. Log out, log in now it says 8 minutes ago. And the newer post are there. Nothing changes without logging out.
Is there a weird cache issue? I have no idea what I am talking about…
Hello i want to change the topic header title “voices” to another word, how can i do it please.
Screenshot:
Hello,
the links allowing forum users to close or trash their own topic are displayed, but the one to edit is not.
I have tried with:
– “Edit time” put to a high value (999999)
– all the plugins deactivated (except bbPress and bbp style pack)
– and the theme 2017
But the problem is still there.
(WP 4.9.10 and bbPress 2.5.14)
Does anybody have an idea?
Thank you
We noticed that in topic.js, the Subscribe text is supposed to be changed to Unsubscribe after subscribing to a topic, but currently it is not.
The problem is that the ajax call is wrong, the callback function not being called:
$.post( bbpTopicJS.bbp_ajaxurl, $data, function ( response ) {
...
});
In our case the callback function is not called at all, the text not being updated.
Perhaps adding a success() call or something similar will fix the problem.
How can I make the BBP forum fit the default page size with sidebar on the right as opposed to being full width?
Thanks.
Is/are there a set of instructions or video showing how one posts on a bbpress forum? I have a website for older people who are not that knowledgeable with forums and would like to have a section where they can see “how to.”
Thanks.
Hello,
Let’s say that I have 3 Categories. Cat a , Cat b, Cat c.
Each has about 5 forums inside.
Can I set a moderator only to Cat a, other to Cat B and other to all categories?
Or will a Moderator have the ability to interfer in all forums and topics?
