Answer page is not showing

Published on July 23rd, 2019 by robin0212

Hey together,

i created a forum and set it up. So far so good!
But if I click on a topic, it doesnt show the answers or the options to post a answer.
It only says “nothing to show here” please create a new post.
I tryed to deinstall all plugins. Set the forum new and it is still the same mistake. Also I reinstalled BBpress. But nothing worked out so far.

How to add pictures to forum headings

Published on July 23rd, 2019 by fantomx90

Hello Everyone. I am a novice still at using wordpress, but I am using bbPress forums for my website. I currently have a bunch of Forums, with many topics underneath them.

I was just wondering if there was a way to have a small icon or picture beside each Forum.

For example – Rules (With a small picture of a book beside it or below it)

I tried messing with Add Media or Featured Image, but they dont seem to apply the image anywhere I can see it.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Conflict between bbpress and wp-members

Published on July 22nd, 2019 by stuartataltitude

I am using wp-members and bbpress together (I guess there are many sites that do this). The normal bbpress behaviour is for non-logged-in site visitors to be able to view forum topics but not reply to them. If I deactivate the wp-Members plugin then this is what happens. However, with wp-members activated, site visitors cannot see topic content (though they can see replies to a topic).

Maybe there is a setting somewhere that I am missing but I’d like the default bbpress behaviour to continue to work with wp-Members activated. I’m hoping that there are other sites that have experienced the same issue – maybe someone has found a solution?

How can i make users log out

Published on July 21st, 2019 by asz-creations

Hi Guys,

Ive been trying to find the solution here but i couldnt find it yet. Where can i give the users a option to log out on bbpress on the website (for example an option in the sidebar). Also when you are logged in once, there is no menu for logged in users (or an option to see an extra menu like activities, profile and what so ever). Is it possible to fix this?

Hi all, I have created my first bbpress forum on page http://irska.ie/forum/ but when you choose one Forum for example Forum http://irska.ie/forums/forum/forum/ or Malig Oglasi http://irska.ie/forums/forum/mali-oglasi/ it goes to different style page :S which add header image and it’s not anymore Full width.

I have edited page for main page under WordPress Page for http://irska.ie/forum/ but how can I make sure that every other topic and etc on mine forum use same style? Thank you.

Issues with forum registration & login via Chrome

Published on July 17th, 2019 by Adunakhor

I have WP version 5.1.1 and theme version Unite 2.0.2. I do not have BuddyPress installed, but I am using bbPress version 2.5.14. The bbPress support forum suggested that I leave my topic here as well. My blog site is at https://www.identificationsystemsgroup.com/blog/forums/

The issue is when someone new registers for my forum page which is hosted inside my WP blog site.

When someone registers via Safari, IE, Edge or Firefox, it correctly redirects them to the main FORUM page after registration is complete.

However, when using Chrome, it incorrectly redirects them to my main BLOG page instead.

Also, I have noticed that when someone uses a GMAIL account, it does not always send them the password set/confirmation email. Sometimes it sends it to junk/spam, but sometimes it doesn’t send it at all. So far, we have not had any issues with emails sent to other domains.

Has anyone else experienced this, with all things Google having issues with bbPress or BuddyPress registration emails or redirects to forum home pages?

If so, please let me know if you have a solution. I did not find a related post on this

Topics and replies are not showing

Published on July 17th, 2019 by asmedej

hello everyone

I have an issue with bbpress forum where topics and replies are not showing.

I’ll start from the beginning, in the beginning all was working fine, all topics and replies were visible and all was OK, but because my forum is in russian language the links were in russian, so I’ve decided to try Cyr-To-Lat plugin which would transform my urls to latin, which was good, and still everything work, BUT I wanted to try another plugin, so I’ve installed Cyr-To-Lat reloaded, there I was asked to trasnlate all urls to latin, I accepted and since it stopped working. Ofcourse my first step was to uninstall that plugin, but it did not resolve.

I’ve searched internet and tried different solutions:
– Deactivating all plugins – not ok
– Changing theme – not ok
– Clicking on permalinks – not ok
– Regenerating .htaaccess file – not ok
– Trying a fix which I found (http://www.rewweb.co.uk/bbpress-wp4-fix/) -> OK

Yes it seems there is a fix which resolves the issue BUT the problem was not with wordpress or something, but a plugin which broke it, now, my question how can I undo it, or how can I resolve without that fix, because it was working fine ….

I suppose that plugin left something, or was maybe not deleted fully, there is some function maybe somewhere which doesn’t show my topics and replies. If I check the solution basically it has something to do with this function: function fb_search_filter which excludes those topics from my forum.

I could use that fix, but as I said it was working before so I think that plugin broke it ….

Any idea how to fix it? Which steps to take?
