rescuing people from spam

Published on May 17th, 2007 by bedbugger

I have a few users whose posts are continually marked as spam. In the Admin menu, I can find the spam under Akismet Spam.

But unlike the spam filter in I use in WordPress, I do not know where or how to solve the problem. How do I convince bbpress that these users are OK?

Many thanks.

Published on May 17th, 2007 by djuggler

Has anyone tried to do a WordPress / BBPress integration using 2 separate databases?

Is it possible? Any caveats?

WordPress 2.2 is out! Any news about bbPress!

Published on May 16th, 2007 by c00l2sv

WordPress 2.2 is out.

The team worked hard so they finally moved to jQuery wich I think is one of the major feature in 2.2 version. I wonder if bbPress will follow his cousin? By the way, is there any news about bbPress… Any secrets revealing?

WIP IPWD iPhone site to use WordPress & BBpress

Published on May 15th, 2007 by

I’m just working on a new site and going to use WordPress and bbpress running alone side each other. I have started the coding on the WordPress and I’ll start the BB soon too. I just thought I’d give a small (unfinished) preview to get some feedback. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sulcalibur/tags/ipwd/show/ many thanks

I have recently completed the new 2Checkout.com, which is now using a fully integrated WordPress and bbPress install to run the homepage / community site. Everyone should have a look:

Blank page after login or registration

Published on May 14th, 2007 by

Hi,

I installed bbpress and adapted the design, but now, when a users attempts to register or login, appaers a blank page or apparently does nothing.

When I reload the bbpress page (for example, www.mydomain.com/bbpress) the user appaers login it.

How can I do resolve the problem with blank pages? Thank you,

How do you make plug-ins work?

Published on May 13th, 2007 by

Another simple question I can’t find an answer to…

How do you make plug-ins work? I find that you must add a directory (“my-plugins”) at the same level as config.php is found, and put the plug-in files there, but then what?

Thanks!

How do you add moderators?

Published on May 13th, 2007 by

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I’m having trouble finding answers to these basic questions and I figure it’s easiest to ask them one at a time. Also, I think I was seduced a little by how easy it was to get WordPress going. bbPress seems a lot harder. Anyway:

How do you add moderators? In the admin page, I can see who they are, but can’t add anybody.

Do I have to get the people that I am inviting as moderators to register themselves, and then I can go and change their privileges? Or can I somehow add them on my own (which is what I’d like).

Thanks!

Where to install bbpress files to best integrate w/ wordpress?

Published on May 13th, 2007 by

I’m having a hard time figuring out the bbpress install — have failed and just pulled it all down again — so, starting from the beginning: My WordPress blog is at www.intar.org/wp_01 — where should I install the bbPress files? Also, should I have a directory called “forums,” and if so, where should that go?

Thanks!
