How to remove forum dropdown list so users can post topics directly to forum.

Published on December 29th, 2020 by multi65

Hello,

Using the

You must be logged in to create new topics.

shortcode, users will have to choose from a dropdown list in order to post a topic. Of course, this can cause some issues as users can often post in the wrong forums without knowing it.

How can bbpresss forum functionality be configured so that users can press a ‘create a new topic’ button, press enter, and that topic is automatically posted in the forum where the ‘create a new topic’ button was situated?

Thank you

Subscriptions versus my subscribed topics

Published on December 28th, 2020 by sbask

https://domain/forums/view/my-subscribed-topics/
and https://domain/forums/users/user/subscriptions/

should show them same information correct? Or should there be a difference? I’m looking at the codec and can’t figure out why “my-subscribed-topics” should have a difference with the topics section under subscriptions

resize login/register menu

I’m sorry, I do not know whether this is a bbpress topic, but because I think, it could be….
At this site the menu terms ‘Anmelden’ (login), Registrieren (Register) and ‘Passwort verloren’ (Lost password), and after logging in also ‘Profile’ and ‘Logout, directly above the right upper cormer of the forums… How can I make them bigger and bold?

bbpress log in process

We have a venue that has a wordpress/bbpress integration. In the past when a user signed up to the site in the woocommerce side, they weren’t assigned a forum role/rights until they actually logged into the forum. Is this something that was changed in an update to bbpress and is it customizable?

I was unsubscribed from all forums…

Published on December 26th, 2020 by lorilself

bbPress 2.6.6, WorPpress 5.5.3
LearnDash 3.3.0.1 with bbPress integration 2.1.1

Hello, I just noticed that as admin I was unsubscribed from all forums. I don’t know when this happened as I just happened to check a forum and noticed a post that was several weeks old for which I hadn’t received a notification. So I checked all the forums and saw that I had been unsubscribed from them as well. Any idea what caused this, so that I can know whether to expect it to happen again? Thanks!

Modify login/logout/register

Published on December 26th, 2020 by Gunivortus

bbp has its own (WordPress) login/logout-register part. Using that, the WordPress settings for that are used. I don’t like it. Deactivating it and using a plugin where I can modify the popup windows (layout, size) would be an option. (Which plugin would work fine together with bbp?).
But is the also an ‘in-between’ way? Keeping the WordPress standard login/out, but modifying those popups, to make them fitting better to the layout of the site?

BBPRESS not showing all Sub Forums

Published on December 26th, 2020 by uksentinel

I have a strange issue in that bbp Style pack does not correctly show sub forums of main catagories, I have several catagories, all with sub forums and only one catagory shows the sub forums

I have reverted back to previous bbp Style pack version, disabled all plugins and even tried a different and bbpress compatible theme, non seem to work.

I have also tried the various forum repair tool, still no joy

Any idea and image below showing issue would be most helpful

Help In Configuring BBpress

Published on December 24th, 2020 by khubaib927

Hello, I am using BBpress to add forum functionality to my website.
I am facing a problem. I created a page with name Forums and permalink forums. I have also set Forum Root Slug to Forums.

So Basically page permalink and Forum Root Slug both are set to forums. For some reason it is not showing the page properly. Have a look at the page and let me know what i can do to fix this. Thanks!
