How can I see the author of the tags?

Published on August 29th, 2010 by johntones

Hi! Sorry if my English is not perfect. :)

If I’m the Admin of a bbPress forum (this one: www.focoblog.com/focoforo), can I see the identity of the author(s) of the different tags or is it completely anonymous?

Thanks a lot,

Tones

Can't' log into forum After move. Please help.

Published on August 29th, 2010 by jeagan

My forum used to be installed at mydomain.com/blog/forum.

I moved the blog to root and further moved my forum two mydomain.com/forum.

As I try to log into my forum at mydomain.com/forum/bb-login.php, it ruturns to old URL with error sign.

When I try to reinstall, it says it’s been installed. How can I get my forum back?

No feedback after adding tag to existing topic here

Published on August 29th, 2010 by chrishajer

Possibly related – it used to be when accessing a non-existent tag by URL, you would get a page that says “Here is a collection of tags that are in use on the forums” or something like that, which was an improvement over the 404 error.

Now, you get the option to add a new tag. Basically a tag management page.

The problem I am seeing though is that when you try to add a tag to an existing topic, either by hitting enter or clicking the [add tag] button, it does not appear to get added. However, if you refresh the page, the tag will be there.

So, something recently changed and not in a good way. Not sure if it affects members or just moderators.

Keymaster Lost after integration / WP 3.0.1 – BP – BB

Published on August 29th, 2010 by itomi

Hey there I had an integrated WP + BB website, then I installed also BuddyPress and used it for a while, everything integrated, using BB as forum engine for BP too.

I then decided to get rid of BP and now I just want to go back to my initial configuration of WP + BB, using the same old DB that still contains BB forum posts.

Everything is working and the user integration still works, but I have the damn “keymaster lost” problem: My admin user can’t access the BB Admin in any way.

I’ve tried all the solutions proposed around here and on the internet, changed my capabilities on the DB to a:1:{s:9:”keymaster”;b:1;} etc.. no way.

If I try to access the /bb-admin area it redirects me to the root.. and there’s no “admin” link near my profile name.

My tables have different prefix:

$bb_table_prefix = ‘wp_bb_’;

I just have WP_USERMETA table as the integration is already done..

What’s the meta key I have to set?!?

I’ve tried “wp_capabilities”, “wp_bb_capabilities” and “bb_capabilities”, but no-way.. no admin access for my user.

I’ve also tried to create new users and assign the keymaster.. same thing, no admin access.

Maybe Buddypress changed something that I have to reset?

Please help! :)

I configured Cookies and Salt settings and both share same db. however, when I login to wordpress as a subscriber, I logged out of bbpress as a member. However, I can login to both site using same user id and password but when I login to one, I get logged out from the other. I’m really confused!! Please help!!

Newbie to BBPress – Install Questions

Published on August 28th, 2010 by jtdesigns02

Where do I place the bbpress folder after I download.

I thought it would go into the plugins folder within my current wordpress install. Nothing is showing up inside wrodpress admin. Please help.

Do I have to go to a unique URL to active something. www.example/com/blog/wp-content/plugins/”example”

I do not see a clear step by step list of instructions on how to do this. Anyone?

I have never used bbpress before and would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

404 Error at step 4 of installation

Published on August 28th, 2010 by cyberskier

I’m trying to install bbpress at a test site, klinewedding.com.

– I uncompress the files

– I then upload the files to my root directory, in a folder “forum” (so the files are at klinewedding.com/forum

I can’t get any further. When I navigate to http://klinewedding.com/forum, I get a 404 error. It is as if my site isn’t seeing any of the uploaded files.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Evan

If you are not interested then other developers are welcome here and their help would be appreciated.

If anyone else want this plugin please ask in this topic.

I’m hoping this topic will not be closed if any Mod don’t like it.
