Our BBP posts are displayed on the homepage activity feed. They have a line like
“Bob replied to the topic Cool Stuff in the forum Stuff 10 seconds ago”
The “10 seconds ago” bit links to the forum post like ‘http://site/frm/topic/coo-lstuff/#post-123’. This is fine for posts without many replies, but as soon as the post goes onto multiple pages these links stop working since they don’t include the page number. How do I get these links to go to the correct page?

Hi, call me a noob but I am running BBPress Integration plugin version 1.0 and a few weeks ago, people cannot upload images, it just says: Attachments

when I try to upload a picture in a post. Any solutions? I’m running WordPress 3.3.

I have a few sites running on WordPress. I love the simplicity and the expandability. However, I have experienced that the more plugins I add, the slower the site becomes. Techies tell me that this is because WordPress loads all the plugins every time a page loads.
My question is that if I install bbpress, will it make my WordPress site slow? Specifically, when I am on WordPress pages (not the bbpress part), will the bbpress code still be loaded?
Additionally, I have found that buddypress has this fatal flaw in that it wipes out the whole WordPress cache (not just buddypress parts) whenever someone logs in. Is this true for bbpress as well? I use a cheap shared host, and my site can not survive without caching as static, so this is critical…

On the download page https://bbpress.org/download/ I see that the WP plugin is available in v 2.0.2 while standalone version is 1.1
No release dates are given for either, and the blog https://bbpress.org/blog/ doesn’t seem to refer to 2 different strains…it simply refers to bbpress 2.0.2…
So, I’m wondering…has the standalone version been discontinued?

I have a multisite installation with pretty much nothing on it. I installed bbPress, didn’t network activate it, activated it on my main site, and the main forums page works, but nothing else. I just get my plain page.php template, not the bbPress twenty-ten child theme templates.
So I tried dumping the templates into my theme. Still nothing. I switched the site’s theme to twenty ten and all of the pages work great. Switch back to my theme, and it’s not working.
I tried adding the add_theme_support in, nothing. Then I uploaded 2.1-bleeding, still nothing. I put the theme on a non multisite installation, installed bbpress, same results. I installed bbPress on another site using a theme i’ve created, worked fine. So.. I’m missing something somewhere in my theme, and It’s driving me nuts. Any insight at all would be most appreciated.

Hi peeps,
I have once before integrated an older release of bbPress 2 which worked fine, i was able to get all the templates to inherit from the activate WordPress theme but in the latest release that inheritance seems to have stopped working for me. Here’s a rundown of what i have done:
- Copied all the files from within
/bbpress/bbp-themes/bbp-twentyten to the current theme i have activated
- I have merged the activate themes functions.php file with the functions.php file from bbp-twentyten and removed the extra 2 occurrences for style.css
- Re-named all occurrences of Twenty-Ten to %THEME_NAME%
- Ensured
add_theme_support('bbpress') exists at the top of my activate themes functions.php file
I have tried everything i physically can, i can modify the files within my themes bbpress folder but just am unable to get the page-* files to respect my changes. I have more then likely overlooked something but i have spent a good 1-2 hours reading through thread after thread and have come up empty handy.
Thanks in advanced.

This is the HTML code
<a href="http://localhost/wordpress/?topic=where-is-the-capital-of-ca&edit=1">Edit</a>
The validation tool shows the following error:
cannot generate system identifier for general entity “edit”
…ess/?topic=where-is-the-capital-of-ca&edit=1″>Edit</p> <p>(…
An entity reference was found in the document, but there is no reference by that name defined. Often this is caused by misspelling the reference name, unencoded ampersands, or by leaving off the trailing semicolon (
. The most common cause of this error is unencoded ampersands in URLs as described by the WDG in “Ampersands in URLs”.
I got the link href by calling bbp_topic_edit_link().
Did I make something wrong?

I installed the bbpress okay without incident. I created a forum, looked at it in preview, updated it so the forum was created. I created a page so the permalink would show the same as the forum but it won’t pull up the identical url. I manually entered it. Not working. Any suggestions. I just need to link a menu tab/button to my forum. Wondering why the settings doesn’t create the page and link it.
Thanks. nationalpreppersassociation.org
