Subforum URL redirecting to homepage

Published on March 2nd, 2012 by SK

I am facing a strange problem with one of my sites.

Clicking on a subforum (or typing in the URL) redirects me to the site’s homepage. I suspect this is because somehow WP decides it hasn’t found a page for that URL. Not sure what to do…I have installed bbPress in other sites previously but haven;t had this problem.

Please, can someone help?

Yes, the forums’ appearance sucks…I haven’t customized it yet.

Delete topics when deleting forum

If I delete a forum, the topics and replies under it are orphaned. Am I missing something? Is there a way to delete or reassign (to another forum) topics/replies when deleting forum?

Plugin request: Read stats

On the forum page, where topics are listed, it would be good to have column for views/read stats…to show how many times the topic has been viewed/read.

Plugin request: Clip quotes

Most forum software have the facility to clip quotes from previous post with the click of a button. Would be nice to have this in bbPress.

Can't Edit Posts

Published on March 2nd, 2012 by fourtheye

I have a recent issue where users and admins/moderators can no longer edit posts. All I (or anyone else) gets is a message saying “Hands off, partner!”.

This worked a couple of days ago, since then the ISP suspended my account, and I suspect something has change, but have no idea what. Any suggestions?

I should add that the settings in the Forum settings page remain unaltered, and should allow the user to edit posts for up to 15 minutes.

Re: Incorporating bbPress theme files, into a pre-existing theme.

I’m having the issue listed in the original “Incorporating bbPress theme files, into a pre-existing theme” (https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/incorporating-bbpress-theme-files-into-a-pre-existing-theme) thread. Unfortunately, the thread was closed so there could be no follow up to tell jaredatch that the plugin code snippet is no longer available through the link he provided.

Automatically "Close" posts after a certain number of days

Published on March 2nd, 2012 by George

Hey all! We use bbPress to run our support forums over at Raygun.

One issue we have is people re-posting in older topics.

Is there a way to automatically “Close” open topics after a certain number of days, say 30 days?

Thanks everyone!
