I would like to disable ahref tags in the forum posts so users cannot add links to external websites within a post. In addition to that, I would also like to stop the automatic phrasing of links. For instance, if someone enters ‘http://www.bbpress.org’ I would like it to appear as plain text instead of a clickable link.
I made a plugin as mentioned by ‘jonich0n’ in the following post but it is not working:
How can I disable HTML in posts?
I uploaded this plugin in my wordpress plugins folder and then activated it from the wordpress ‘installed plugins’ page. Is there where it is supposed to be uploaded?

Hey again,
I’m not sure if my problem relates to my previous problem: https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/main-forum-not-listing-sub-forums-just-text-w-no-links
(I haven’t been able to figure out the previous problem. Have contacted RocketTheme to help me out with it; still waiting on a reply)
When I make a post it saves and the topic can be viewed in the forum listings. But when you click the link, it takes you to the correct post url but there is no content to the post. No text from the poster at all. All that is seen is the reply box and the notices saying what permissions you have.
You can reply but the reply isn’t shown.
In the bbPress panel in the Dashboard, I can view the posts and replies perfectly as well as edit them.
Has this problem ever come up before? Is it related to my previous problem in the link above?

I’m having a hell of a time finding out how to mess with the look of closed topics.
Right now if a topic gets closed it just gets grayed out which is fine I guess. I have figured out how to modify the look of a grayed out topic in the CSS file.
What I want to know if how do I check to see if a topic is closed and then echo text like [CLOSED] or [LOCKED] in front of it. I don’t want the topic to be grayed out because users should still be able to read it so I’d like to echo something like [CLOSED] in front of the topic.
How does one check to see if a topic is closed and then echo text in front to the topic title saying it is closed.

I’m testing with the following:
wordpress3.3.1, buddypress1.5.4, bbpress2.1r3786
After activating buddypress and then going all the way up to the forum part, what exactly is the step to get it configured? I do not want to use Group Forums. I click on Install Site Wide Forums it tells me it is installed.
This was a problem before the 2.1 beta so …
What is being done in the 2.1 beta that addresses this?
How should users configure it via upload if they are not using plugin search?

I installed bbPress 2.0.2 on my WordPress 3.3.1 site and I can’t get the shortcodes to work. If I add a shortcode to any of the forums it just shows the [shortcode].
http://www.rmminc.org/forums is blank the forums I created don’t show up on the page.
Below are two forums I setup
http://www.rmminc.org/forums/forum/homelessness
http://www.rmminc.org/forums/forum/poverty

What file in bbpress needs to be edited to change the size of the Category topic font size? The way it is now, on my site, the Category font size is a bit smaller than the topic title.

How do I embed a reply button in each topic post that will jump you to the reply field below?

Hey, I just started using bbpress and I love it! I came across this however and would like to change it. When i started my forum structure i made a category then some subforums. But beside the subforums it says (0,0) or however many topics/replies there are in the forums and i would like to make that information go away…at least in the main forum structure.

When editing existing post editeor prints html, rather that parses it. When switched to the code view some symbols are displayed.
oembed tickbox saves, but embedding is not working.
